Dear Journal~

Bill Sandusky writing.  Hope this finds y'all well and happy!

We are currently waiting to get into the CMA Music Festival for a weekend of fun, autograph seeking, photo ops, and continuous live country music done by the greatest of what country has to offer.

Just about everyone who's in country will be here: from the legends like Little Jimmy Dickens, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, and Reba, to the bright new stars, people like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, and Kellie Pickler.  There will be fans from all over the world; we've met people from as far away as Finland, Norway, England, and Canada here.

As you know, our son Johnathon and our daughter Ronee' will be performing.  They are both performing tomorrow; Johnathon performs twice while his sister only sings once.  Johnny will be singing at the Talent Search and on the Cajun Showcase; his sister, meanwhile, sings only during the Cajun show.  I know they will do a beautiful job; they always do!  They absolutely love to sing/perform!

Louie is glad to be off work, even if it is only for the weekend; but she isn't off, no, not really.  She has the kids to watch.  Trying to keep tabs on over fifty active kids is no small feat; this is why we have her parents, as well as our older kids in tow, so they can help mama out whenever she needs it.

Gives me a break, too. :)

The weather here is sunny, warm, not too bad.  We've been at past CMA Music Festivals/Fan Fairs, and it's been nothing short of stifling.  At least there's a nice breeze blowing in from the northwest, and we don't have to worry about geting out of the rain!

We should be getting in anytime.  People who are disabled or have some type of special need are always let in before the general public; we get first shot on the autographs.  That's kind of nice, but people get annoyed.  I don't blame them. 

Wonder who we will see this year; it's exciting to think about! Maybe I will see Shania Twain there; I just love that woman!  (If I wasn't married to my wife, I'd chase after Shania! LOL Not really, but a guy CAN dream! :) )

I am going to ground my son, Richard:  he just showed me the picture on his phone; it's of a naked man dancing.  He ought to know better than that!!  I have tried to raise my kids right; I think his teenage hormones have taken hold of his brains!  Now he's going to have to repent!  No wonder he was laughing so hard; now I know why! (I wish I didn't! LOL)

Oops! Enriquesa just spilled cherry juice on her white shirt.  Looks like she's been shot! LOL  I am going to have to clean her up; what a mess she made!  Be back!

Am back; now that Enriquesa's been taken care of, I can continue.  Still waiting; they, the officials, are still talking; wish they'd shut up, and cut that ribbon, so we can be let onto the festival grounds! 

Make sure I have everything:  camera, film (LOTS of film!!), sunblock, bug bite creams, aloe, other first aid supplies, fresh diapers (need LOTS of those, too!), clean clothes, kids, wife, parents--yes, everything, everyone's, all accounted for!  We are ready to rrrrrrrrolllll!! LOL

Well, they're getting ready to cut the ribbon, so I will go before I get mowed over by my own family!  I will write in here again next week sometime; until then, this is Bill signing off!  Take care and God bless!
