TA Truck Stop, Laredo TX...5.59 in the a.m...July 11 2008

Yesterday they fixed a headlight as it had blown out

It was working when I left I saw it there's no doubt!

I got up 'bout 2.30 to get back on the road

Off to Louisiana to go deliver my load

I made some tea before I left and I was going to go

I switched the headlights on I did and then I cried, 'Oh! No!'

The lamp they fixed was bust again no light from it did show

The air turned blue from out my mouth much worse than I'll be blowed!

So do I go back to the yard? I know what I will do

I'll wait for sunrise to appear no lights will be on view!

The company that I'm working for, their equipments crap

Maintenance is a joke to them my energy they do sap!

No trailers worthy for the road their trucks are similar too

I will not go back to the yard for what good would that do?

They'd give the load to someone else and for another day

I will not be out on the road another day no pay!

It's nearly light I'll go real soon and get on up the road

Eventually I know I will deliver this f'mucking load!

Got there wednesday having been given the load on tuesday it should have been delivered on monday, so I was automatically late when I was given the load!
