I had a friend who worked at the World Trade Centers in New York City, but she died on September 11, 2001, when the World Trade Centers were attacked by evil-minded terrorists; the buildings burned and then collapsed less than an hour after planes had hit them. Stephanie Green was in the North Tower at the time the one plane hit.
Although I didn't know it at the time, she had been killed. Instantly.
I had first met Stephanie Green while I was living in Kenya, Africa, where I was born, and where I made my former home; she met me and she soon became my "sponsor" when I had told her that I wanted to go to school (university) in America.
She was going to make sure that happened. And--it did.
She helped me get an apartment and she helped me with my shopping and with my learning more English. (I knew some English, but my English was limited. At the time I mainly spoke Swahili and Maa [Maasai language].)
When I was in the hospital recovering from burns (I had been raped and attacked and then set afire by my attacker; he did this so he could "cover up" his crime) she would visit with me. She made sure I had the best care possible.
Even when I got sick two years ago with the flesh-eating disease she was right there by my side. She never left me (as did Roberto or Louisiana; they were always by my side, too).
Last summer, in August, she invited me to go to New York City. In August my new husband and I went to see where she worked. The Twin Towers were altogether breathtaking--I had never seen such big, massive buildings: their height was INCREDIBLE!!
Not knowing that, just one month later, they would be hit by terrorists.
And not knowing that Stephanie, my first American friend, would die in such a horrible, dispicable, diplorable way.
Now it is 8 1/2 months later, and I still feel incredibly sad when I think of what those fucking Muslim extremist bastards did. They attacked my new home here in AMERICA, and THEY KILLED MY FRIEND--not to mention, THOUSANDS of innocents WHO DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE in the way they did.
Even today I can't read the newspaper or watch the news on TV without feeling sick to my stomach. I can't bring myself to forgive those FUCKING evil people who attacked America--and, in turn, MURDERED my friend.
That's just what it was: cold-blooded murder in the WORST possible way.
HOW can such bad people be allowed to live--and HOW can they get away with what they did to America and her people while those who were affected by 9-11-01 (like myself, for one, as I KNEW one of those who had died at the hands of those terroristic BASTARDS) suffer so needlessly??
WHY ISN'T ANYTHING BEING DONE TO STOP TERRORISM, TO ENSURE THAT NOTHING LIKE WHAT HAPPENED ON 9-11-01 NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN HERE IN AMERICA?? WHY AREN'T THE TERRORISTS BEING STOPPED AND PUNISHED FOR THEIR EVIL-DOINGS??????????
It DOESN'T seem fair----
Stephanie Green: I will ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU. I will ALWAYS remember our friendship. You will be missed GREATLY by ALL who knew you and loved you, as I did.
