There's your plain ordinary Earthlings and then........there's the French
I'm rubbing my shoes I'm rubbing my shoes I'm rubbing my shoes and the next thing I know I'm walking around this place and I'm smelling this cool fresh salty sea air and I know I'm in a dream because I can't be in hot muggy Van Nuys because that's like a hundred miles from the ocean and you don't associate cool or Van Nuys in the same sentence during the summer................
I truly wonder where I am? I'm thinking to myself as I'm walking down the street with old histroical buildings on both sides and then I notice the signs are in French. Omigosh I must be in Paris is my initial excited thought but then I realize Paris is not near the ocean. Well a few minutes later I realize where I am, the beautiful harbor, the magnificent Meditteranean shoreline, the fancy yachts, all the 'beautiful people' lying around half naked in the sand. I'm in Cannes even better than Paris, I shriek to myself.
I start pinching my arm. Maybe this is real, not a silly dream. I won't wake up in a few mtinutes to my dreadful waitress job in hot muggy smoggy Van Nuys.
To my delight my arm hurts as I pich it. It's real it's real. I must have gone through some kind of weird weird amnesia
Where are you, must be near the ocean somewhere to describe it here. HOpe you find some rest there in Cannes if that is where you truly are today. Good write though, Love traveling experiences told on the den.
