Young Sagie McDermott is still trying to find her place in the world.

Sorry for not writing; things been crazy at best.

This is your friend, Sage (Sagie) McDermott, writing.  Still with my aunt and uncle; granny Eileen is in a nursing home.  She is paralyzed, unable to talk, a former shell of herself.  It's enough to break my heart.  I love Grandma Eileen so much; if she were to die, I don't know what I would do.  Go crazy, I guess.

My aunt Reba and Uncle Fenton have been trying their darndest to be there for me.  I still have days where all I can do is cry; it's like a part of me has died, even though grandma is still alive.  It's really strange.

I am off school now:  summer break.  Believe me, I could use a break from school.  The kids (excepting for my goth friends) all hate me, call me horrible names, don't want nothing to do with me.  They're total scumbags; I can't stand them!!

I still get threatening e-mails on my computer; it's getting to the point to where  I don't want to check my e-mails, for fear of what I may find on there.  Also, I think I may be getting stalked; this kid has been sending me lewd pictures or comments, and it's like he won't leave me alone.  I'm getting scared; yet I'm afraid to show my e-mails to my uncle and aunt, for fear of what they may say or do.

My uncle has an explosive temper.  If he feels anyeone's been wronged, he'll go after the person and physically try to hurt that person.  He's put people into the hospital because he can't contain his temper at times.  He's been fired from several jobs because his anger's gotten the best of him.

His wife, Reba, is much quieter, a soft-spoken, demure woman.  I don't hardly hear a peep from her; it's her husband who's the loudmouth.  He's always spouting off about something.

At times, I wish I could go back to my parents.  I wonder where they are, if they are happy, if they ever think about--me.  Oh, I love my aunt and uncle very much (even ucle's temper; it's just how he is), but I'd much rather be with my parents, feel more like a normal kid.

Since all this mess started in on my computer, I don't go on as much as I used to.  Instead, I read, go outside, go horseback riding.  Now, horseback riding is something I can do for hours; I love the feeling of the wind blowing on my face and in my hair, the smell of the outdoors, the feel of a big, strong horse uderneath me.  It's one of the greatest feelings in the entire universe; I can get lost in my own little world whenever I go horseback riding!

Or I read.  I am a voracious reader; I can never have enough books.  My room is a veritable library:  I know I have over 2,000 books easy!!

Another thing I do is draw, paint, write stories or poems.  One of my dreams is to open up my own art studio or bookstore.  That would be awesome!!

Well, I am going to go now; maybe I need to talk to my aunt and uncle about what's going on with my e-mails.  I'd hate to see it escalate into something more terrifying; you hear all the time about kids in trouble on account of the stupid Internet. At times, I wish the Internet had never been created!!!!

Well, take care, I will write in here again soon.  Bye for now!

~Love,  your friend, Sage Rainbow McDermott. :(

A very realistic write as many young people are often stalked and terrorized on the Internet and at school by other children. Children can be cruel! I like her outlook on nature, horses and her creativity...my niece was a very creative girl, she went through her awkward stage and a bit rebellious as well at one time. But, she always loved to read, write, and draw. Today several years later, she owns her own home, is a guard at a prison a few counties away, and get this has does tattoos, and also has a small photography business! Of course she is young and full of energy and dreams...but she also is a living witness to many that thought she was weird, different and would probably never do anything...that just because one is a bit different it doesn't mean that they can't achieve their dreams much like your character Sage, anxious to see what's going to happen next in her life!

First of all, this young lady needs to change her email address. Second, I can identify with the pain of her grandma in the nursing home, my mother was in one, and did die there. It was awful. Her dream of owning a bookstore shows she is looking after her future that's good. Once more, a wonderful write, Karen

At times, I wish the Internet had never been created!!!!

At times, so do I, and heading back out to nature's wonders, and to wonderful things like horseback riding, seem better and better, every day.
