Miracle of the 5 Words
Taken from the book, "The Voices Within Us," by Jim Stewart
While riding in my car each morning I have a chat with my angels. I was in a depressed state of mind and needed an uplifting. This is what happened over a seven day period.
MONDAY: I asked the angels what I needed to learn that day. Gabriel said, " Patience, Jim." So all day I started to practice patience.
TUESDAY: I asked the angels what I needed to learn that day. Gabriel said, "Love, Jim." So all day I started practicing love.
WEDNESDAY: I asked the angels what I needed to learn that day. Gabriel said, "Hope, Jim." So all day I started to look for hope.
THURSDAY: I asked the angels what I needed to learn that day. Gabriel said, "Faith, Jim." So all day I concentrated on building my faith.
FRIDAY: I asked the angels what I neede to learn that day. Gabriel said, "Belief, Jim." So all day i revisited my beliefs.
Saturday night while I was sitting on my back porch praying and asking God for help, the angels told me that I needed to go to church tomorrow. They even told me what church to go to. They said, "Go to the church where you last performed." I had given a sertmon and sang at this same church, two weeks prior to this time.
Sunday morning I got up and went to this church. I did not remember when the services were, so I left early. I got there late. I saw a Chaplain friend of mine Jim Berbiglia and his wife. I then looked towards the pulpit where I saw another chaplain that I knew, Gary Z..As everyone was sitting down , I opened up the church bulliten. The message of the day was, "Patience, Love, Hope, Faith, and Belief." I started crying to myself. Again God was trying to tell me something.
After the service I went to talk to my Chaplain friend, Gary. Gary told me that he was just filling in for the regular minister that week. I told him why I was there and what had happened. Gary told me that he only found out the night before that he was going to preside over the worship and message that he delivered was a last minute spur of the moment topic that he came up with.
All week I heard these words, "Patience, Love, Hope, Faith, and Belief" and now I was led to a sermon talking on these five words.
It was also Communion Sunday.
