Ronee' writes in her journal before going to bed for the night.

Tuesday, July 15, 2008, Nashville, TN., 12:52 a.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Ronee' Le-Anne here.  Thought I'd write in here prior to retiring for the night; have no school tomorrow, so--there  you go. :)

I am doing well. Quite well, in fact. Haven't had any problems since my panic attack of the spring, when we had those tornadoes--no flares, no asthma attacks, nothing.  Hope it lasts; love staying away from hospitals, let alone, doctors! LOL  I'm actually livin' life as a normal kid--and trust me, there's nothing normal about me! LOLOLOL

The family is in bed.  The only one up is me.  Oh, and maman, but she's at work:  she's got the graveyard shift this week at the hospital.  She won't be home until seven this morning.  Oh, and my cat, "Cajun", is up, too.  She's watching me as I type this into my computer.  I just love my furry baby so much!  She's so adorABle!! :)

"Cajun" isn't spoiled.  Oh, wait a minnit.  Yes she is.  I spoiled her.  Have nobody to blame but myself on that one! LOL

We had fun on July Fourth:  our city had their annual celebration, renamed "Red, White, And BOOM!", and it was fun!!  We saw plenty of fireworks, ate ourselves til we couldn't hardly move, heard lots of great music (I performed; had fun entertaining the masses!), and just reveled in being free, being Americans, being--alive.  I'm only sorry it's over; I wasn't ready for it to end!!

I wish we could celebrate the Fourth forever!! :)

In only five months, I'll be sixteen.  Sixteen. *Sigh*. That means in the fall or sometime in the start of 2009 I'll be learning to drive.  I'll be taking classes for handicapped drivers. This ought to prove to be interestin'...LOL  The very thought of learning to drive a car terrifies me; what if I get into a wreck????  What if I do something totally stupid?? No, I'd much rather walk or have someone else drive me around!! LOL

I'll also be old enough to go on dates.  The very thought of having a boy hanging on my arm is nice, but I hope I don't end up with one that's a total loser.  I don't know if I could handle breaking up after falling in love; I'd rather dip my head in soap suds than break up with a guy!!

I'll have to start thinkin' where I want to go to college.  So far, I've been lookin' into college courses at Louisiana State-Lafayette in Lafayette, Louisiana or Tennessee State or Fisk University here in Tennessee; I want to major in music.

I still want to be a professional singer; if I can't do that, maybe I'll go into journalism, become a professional writer, be a writer of children's books.  Or maybe go into the missions field or become a pastor. So many dreams, so many opportunities lie ahead for me. Yeah, I think I could do that, do any of these things....:)

Well, it's after one, and I'm suddenly gettin' sleepy.  I think I am going to bed; that empty bed of mine is lookin' at me, and it sure does look invitin'.  I will write in here again soon; until the next time, this is your pal, Ronee', signin' off!  Take care, and may God bless you mightily!  Love ya!

~As ever, your gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :O *YAWN* LOL

P.S.:  I have been listening to my "Return To Canaan" CD by the Happy Goodman Family; there's this song on there, "What A Beautiful Day (For The Lord To Come Again)"; haven't heard that one in a long time.  It blesses me every time; maybe I'll sing it at church one of these Sundays.  Yeah, I think they'd like that.  I hear that song, get encouraged each and every time.

Now they're gone (Howard and Vestal, as well as Johnny Cook); they sing in Heaven's Choir.  They are very much missed by this fan of southern gospel music!!

~Ronee'.

Karen,

Where does the time go? Seems like yesterday she was a sickly, shy little girl - now she blossoms with (fairly) good health and a wonderful attitude - well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

So Ronee's sweet sixteen fast approaches and the craving and fears of most sixteen year olds for their licence is as evident in her as in all teens. Good luck Ronee.

Ambition is a motor like any other one, it will take us wherever we wish to go, and time, yes time will fly when we are younger in the wings of our dreams.
Go on Ronee, just keep on going on.
