Dear Journal~

Hey!  Ronee' Le-Anne here.  Hope this finds y'all well; me, I'm doing as good as I can (besides my allergies kickin' me in the arse, that is; nothing new there).

Gonna take some Benadryl after I'm done here; then will probably sleep for a million years...LOL  My eyes are really waterin', itchin' bad, and my nose feels like a leaky faucet that won't stop running! It's way past annoying!!

Well, another summer Olympics have started, this time in Beijing, China.  They got off underway yesterday, and already the medals are flying.  USA got their first few medals (I think one gold, one silver, one bronze), and who knows how well they will do during the entire Olympics competition.  I hope and pray they do well, and I pray the Olympics go without incident.

Well, that may not be the case: a man attacked two relatives of a U.S. Olympics coach, kllled them, then killed himself, committed suicide, I think.  Now that is about stupid!  I was sorry to hear of this; I will have to pray for the coach and his family.  Sad how some people try to ruin it for others, who are only trying to have a good time or compete in the spirit of good will!

I watched the Opening Ceremonies last night; they were awesome!  One of the best openings I've ever seen  (and all have been spectacular).  Over 200 countries competing, some athletes being as young as 13 or 14, and some as old as sixty seven, I believe.  I enjoyed watching the ceremonies; I always enjoy the Olympics!

If I could, I'd go out for the Olympics; think I'd do well at swimming.  That'd be about all I can do! LOL  Or maybe I could go out for the Paralympics, which is an Olympics competition for people with disabilities. Yeah, I think I could do that, possibly medal, maybe even score a gold medal for the Home Team! :)

Before the Olympics, I watched the Las Vegas callbacks of America's Got Talent, where the top sixty/seventy acts got whittled down to forty.  One of my favorites was voted through; the other, let go, much to my bitter disappointment.  Young David Militello, who is nine and suffers from autism, didn't advance; on the other hand, little four-year-old Kaitlyn Ashley Maher went through.  I was happy for Kaitlyn, but my heart broke for David.  I was so hopin' he'd go through!!

I was disappointed at some of the acts they let through:  Boy Brittany, Darae Saunders (I believe that's his last name)--very inappropriate.  Men dressed as women.  I think that is very disgusting!!  THOSE were the ones who should have been booted out, NOT David Militello!!

I think I will write a letter of protest to NBC and voice my displeasure!!  I am NOT happy AT all about this!!

How stupid can they be?? I mean, my WORD!!

The weather here is hot, typical summertime weather here in the American southland.  Pop up thundershowers in the afternoon, then clearing out by sunset, with starry skies overnight.  Temps in the nineties with fifty to sixty percent humidity, making it feel even hotter.  Thank GOD for central air and/or swimming pools!! :)  I know how to stay cool! (That, or drink plenty of iced tea, soda, or water, water, water!! LOL)

In a few weeks we will be going to Louisiana, to Lafayette, for the LeCajun Cajun Music Awards Show and Festival.  It's a three day long affair, with continuous Cajun (or zydeco) music at the Blackham Coliseum, lasting all day, from morning until night.  The biggest and brightest stars of Cajun are there, along with over 2,000 Cajun-crazy fans from all over the world; it's the Cajun varient of Fan Fair here in Nashville, and it's a total blast!!  I just LOVE LeCajun!!

I will be performing there, on Saturday, in the afternoon.  I will be sandwiched between "The Cajun Cousins" with Jackie Caillier and Belton Richard and his "Musical Aces".  A good place to be, in my opinion; I love both groups! :)  I am really looking forward to it!

After Louisiana, I don't know what I'll do until school starts; I'll then be entering the tenth grade.  Hard to believe that I will be graduating in a little over two years from now and am already thinking of attending college at Louisiana State University-Lafayette, which is the same school my maman and my sister Dwerlina attended.

I'm growing up fast (too fast for my own good, maman says! LOL)!

In a few weeks, right after we get back from Louisiana, Billy Ray, the new foster child, will be arriving.  I hear he's a real handful.  I'd better change the lock on my bedroom door, or else it's toast!!  I can't stand it when the little kids mess up my things; I go ballistic!!

I have too many treasures in my room, and I don't want a bunch of little kids mucking it up!!

I'm looking forward to Billy Ray's arrival, yet at the same time, I'm a little nervous about it.  What if he turns out to be the world's biggest brat and I get stuck babysitting him??  I don't think I'd like that; in fact, I know I wouldn't!

I hope maman or daddy can pacify him; or else we're in deep doo-doo!!

Well, I am going to go:  I'm really getting miserable here; have to take my allergy meds, then go to dreamland, sleep until whenever.  LOL  I will write in here again soon; until the next time, this is your Cajun friend, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux, signing outta here!  Ciao!
