Johnny writes in his journal upon awakening, before he has to get ready for the day.

Sunday, August 10, 2008, Nashville, Tn., 5:21 a.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Johnathon here.  Just woke up not even fifteen minutes ago; brain's still fuzzy, so if I make a bunch of mistakes, please forgive me.  Not awake.

Might as well stay up:  Family will be rising soon, have to get dressed, get ready for church, then have breakfast; we usually go out to eat before church on Sundays, either at Golden Corral, Fire Mountain, or Denney's.

Yeah, Sundays are my favorite day of the week:  nothin' but relaxin' and maxin'; other than church business, I can do as I very well please, with no hassles (most of the time) or annoyances to distract me.

Now when school starts in a few weeks, that'll change:  probably will have homework out the wazoo the first week of school; I know I did last year, which pissed me off royally!!

I am doing okay, but must have been in one position for a while: my body feels like it's been run over by twenty Hummers! *OW*  I hope someone moved me last night; don't want to discover a nasty bedsore!!  If that happens, I'd have to go to the hospital, and I don't want to do that!!

Next week is my MDA camp; go for five days; am really looking forward to that.  Then it's LeCajun, which is this big Cajun deal in Lafayette, Louisiana.  We go just about every year; it's alright, but I'd rather be at Cedar Point or some other amusement park.

We were going to go to Ohio, to go to Cedar Point; however, with gas/airfare being so expensive, well, it kicked that to the curb in a hurry.  We are still going to go to Lousy-Anna, though; that was planned way before the prices jumped to record levels.  I'm a little bummed out about that, but there's really nothing I can do about it except pray that we get to do it next year, or that the prices fall.

I have been following the Olympics:  we have four medals (I think), two of them Gold.  Michael Phelps, the swimmer, is trying to win a record nine Gold Medals; one down, eight to go.  He has a lot of work ahead of him; lots of strong swimmers on the Australian and Chinese teams.  He's got some stiff competition.

The opening ceremonies were nothing less than spectacular.  We watched it on television on Friday, the Chinese people outdid themselves; one of the best Olympic opening ceremonies that I can rightly remember.

It seems to only get better and better with each Olympics.  Now we have Vancouver to look forward to, in a year and a half, for the Winter Games.

I personally prefer the Winter Games as opposed to the Summer Games.

If they ever had an Olympic Gold Medal for Biggest Annoyance Factor, my sister Ronee' the Monster would win it, hands down.  She thinks since she tried out for AGT, she's all that; she's getting the big head.  I think I need to pop it before she gets too full of herself; she sometimes does that, and it drives me crazy!!!!

The other day, SHE told me I'd get the tin medal for some stupid comment I'd made or something.  I got mad at her, so I slugged her a good one, right in the arm.  She got mad, slapped me back, until daddy intervened, put her in time out so she could cool her jets.  And I was the one who got griped at.  I was so mad I could have pulled Ronee' 's head off!!

I hope the USA does well in the Olympics, but they are going to have a real fight on their hands with China and Russia breathin' down their necks; China and Russia are powerful adversaries known for winning gold after gold after gold!!

Well, I am getting stupid, so I am going to back on out of here.  Nothing much to write about; my brain isn't awake; I think it went back to sleep.  Maybe I can talk daddy into letting me stay home from church, so I can sleep!  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Johnathon signing off!  Bye for now!

~Johnathon. :o (*yawning*)

The opening ceremonies were nothing less than spectacular.

I'd have to agree with you, Johnny Boy; but like you, I prefer the Winter Olympics, too.
