Dear Journal~
Louie here. I'm afraid I'm not in the best of moods: not so much as having a bad day at work, per se, but still--my mood is very bad right now.
I just found out yesterday that one of my friends is dying; doctors say she has the fatal form of multiple sclerosis, and it's rapidly getting worse. She wrote me an e-mail yesterday, and as you can imagine, she is absolutely devastated.
I know doctors, medicine can be wrong about different things (I've seen that in my own life and in the lives of my kids, my family), but still--when a person is told that they don't have long to live, it changes them in more ways than you can imagine--and those around them.
I will have to put Sikik Eegeesiak on the prayer chain at church, see if God can pull a miracle on her behalf. Sikik is not even fifty years old yet; however, for the past several months, her health's gotten worse, and she's isolated anyway, living in a small community in northernmost Alaska.
Sikik has MS as well as fibromyalgia, other health issues.
I will have to write to Sikik, try to offer her some semblance of comfort, encouragement; she needs that right now in her life. I don't know what to say, but I'm sure that God will put the words upon my heart, and they will then come flowing out.
Bill knew somethng was wrong when I woke up this morning. I wasn't my usual chipper self. He felt bad, and now he's been praying hard for my friend, too. So have the children. My family has been really good at trying to help me in this troubling situation.
Well, I am at work, and they need me in the MICU. Code Blue. I will write in here again another time; until later, take care, and keep me in your prayers as I deal with this situation involving my friend!
God bless!
~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May. :( >tears!<
