Thank you all for your loving words of encouragement and your prayers during this difficult time in our lives.

Mattaq here.  Sorry for not writing; things are starting to happen at breakneck speed.

Sikik is starting to respond to treatment:  she is now on liquids; just got the nose hose removed a few days ago, and she's been eating like a little walrus.  LOL  Her numbers are up regarding her kidney function, and doctors are amazed at how well she's doing.  I believe she's  turned the corner, which has been a huge answer to all your prayers.

Now, she may not get back to where she was, but then again, she might.  Sikik has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. :)

Happily, Igri, Nauja, and Navarama have come down to help.  I am no longer by myself; we take turns sitting, visiting with our sick sister.  I think my rantings of the past few entries have finally hit home with them.  I'm getting the needed rest I need; I feel more like myself.

Now if we can only convince the others that they need to see Sikik before she goes...

The nurses, doctors have been taking great care of Sikik.  I am most impressed with the skills they have in their hands and brains; they are really good with her.  I pray this continues.

Sikik has been voiding, and she no longer looks so puffy, so swollen up with fluid.  She is still skinny, but we'll fatten her up once she is able to eat solid foods! :)  No problem there! :)  Sikik is starting to look more like herself, which pleases us greatly.

Maybe, just maybe, today they'll get Sikik out of bed to where she can walk again.  No doubt she will need help; she's still incredibly weak.  It is going to take a long while for her to get her strength back up.  I hope so; it hurts us to see her like this!

There's talk that they will be moving our sister out of the Intensive Care unit.  They are thinking of putting her in a regular room, taking her off the monitors, oxygen.  That is a huge step forward in her recovery; it's been nothing short of a miracle, considering how sick she was!

Well, the nurses are here; they're going to bathe Sikik, so I will go, as to assist them.  I will write again soon; forgive me for not writing until now, but things have been crazy, especially the last few days!  Just keep the prayers/love coming; it is very much appreciated!
