Tottie Brighton writes in her journal to let her friends know how she is doing since getting married back in August. As you can imagine, she is very much in love with her new husband, and she is very happy.

Saturday, 27 September, 2008, Sydney, Australia~

Dear Journal~

Tottie here.  Tottie Ruth Brighton (have to get used to putting that down; not used to being married! LOL).  I hope this finds you all in fine fettle; me, I couldn't be any happier than I am right now!

I have been enjoying me life since getting married to my love, my dearest Bobbo (Bob).  He treats me like a queen, makes sure I have all I need in life; he spoils me rotten!  It's incredible just how much joy he's brought into my (otherwise uninteresting) life!

I've only been married since August, August 9, to be exact.  We feel like it's only been a few weeks instead of a few months:  everything is still so new, exciting, fresh!

I've come to the conclusion that me mate is a fantabulous cook.  I'm not talkin' just fish and chips, or hamburgers capped with fries here:  you're talkin' gourmet cookin'.  Fancy stuff.  He makes the best baked Alaska this side of the pond, and no matter what he makes (be it Mexican, Chinese, Intercontinental, native Aussie, or even Cajun), it comes out magical!

Guess I won't have to worry about me goin' on a diet as long as he's around!! LOL

If I don't watch meself, I'm goin' to weigh as much as a bull elephant!! LOL

We just got back from our honeymoon:  we went to Europe, toured England, France, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands.  Very nice; saw lots of neat sights, went to lots of great places.  Saw and did things I'd never thought possible.  Even tried to go snowskiing, me with an artificial gam!  That proved to be interestin'!  The next day I was so sore from all the fallin' I did!  *OW*  Still makes me hurt just thinkin' about it!

We must have taken at least a hundred different rolls of film; we're still waitin' for them to be completed at the photography mart.  If they mess up any of our piccys, I am going to be really steamed, I am!!  There is nothin' worse than shellin' out big money to pay for piccys that look like crap!!

I'm enjoyin' being with Bobbo, gettin' to know his brothers Teague and Galen, and his sisters Iona, Torrie, and Haven better.  They are as sweet as their brother, if not, even more so.  They've taken to me like I was another sister; I think they've adopted me into their clan.  I'm honoured; I can't think of a better group of chums to be with than the Brighton Bunch! :)

I love his mum and pop so much:  they treat me like a daughter; they spoil me too, sendin' me cash or little care packages when they think we are strugglin'.  I tell them not to do this, as we are self-sufficient ourselves, but they never listen!  It drives me bonkers!!

It kinda makes up for the loss of me own parents.  I don't feel so alone now, now that I'm a Brighton! :)

I like the sound of that.  Tottie Ruth Brighton.  Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?? :)

It is going to take some time for me to stop writing Tottie Witherspoon; I'm no longer a single gal; I'm now a married hag!! LOL

The weather is gettin' mild, signs that spring surely has sprung here down under.  Where it is Autumn in parts of the world, here in Aussieland it's opposite.  It's spring here.  I just pray, hope we don't have a bad year for fires or storms:  last year was terrible!  There were fires just a few miles up the way from us, and we could see, smell, even taste the acrid smoke.  It was terrifying!  And the storms:  wow!! Ye never saw such wild lightnin' or wind in your life!  It was incredible, that!

Well, I am going to go now: Teague is throwin' another hissy; seems that the least little thing can set him off!  I will write in here again soon; sorry it took so long for me to do so!

Take care and God bless!  This is Tottie saying Toodles!

~Love, your friend in Aussieland, Tottie Ruth Brighton.  (Damn, almost did it again!!)
