Ronee' writes in her journal upon awakening. She is feeling better; she just got over a stomach virus that she picked up at school. She is feeling weak, worn out like a used washrag, but she's definitely headed in the right direction.

Dear Journal~

Good morning!  It's me, Ronee'!  (Aren't you the lucky ones! LOL)

I'm doin' fairly okay.  Just got over a stomach virus; don't know where I got it, but on Thursday, I got sick at school.  Barfed all over, then passed smooth out.  Needless to say, I had to go home.  When daddy took me to see Dr. Emmons, he said I had a stomach virus that was going 'round.  He gave me some medicine for my stomach; it's helped.

At least now I can eat without barfin' all over!  Ewww; if there's one thing I absolutely HATE to do, it's throw up!  GAD!!

Talk about nasty!!

I haven't done much over the weekend:  just stayed in bed, tried to find something to do.  Don't know if I am going to go to church this morning; let's see how I feel by the time daddy or maman get up first.  If I don't feel any better (stronger), I'm stayin' put; don't want to risk it, don't want to risk goin' out in public, especially if that virus is still afoot!

I feel weak.  Weaker than weak.  I feel about as strong as a wet, used dishcloth.  LOL Now THAT'S weak.  Weak. NESS!! LOL

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!  I just looked in the mirror, and I look like WILD CHILD!!  My hair is outta control!!  It's stickin' up in all directions; it looks just like my kitty's tail when she's scared or spooked! POOF!! LOL  I know it's gonna be Snarl City when I attempt to brush it! LOL

Oh, THIS Is going to be fun!  (NOT!!)

So far, nobody in my family's gotten the stomach virus.  Only me.  Figures.  Just my luck.  I think I must be related to Typhoid Mary or something.  Seems I pick up just about every little bug that comes crawlin' along.  Maybe I should be in a germ-free environment, become like the Bubble Boy, this kid who lived in a germ-free environment 'coz he was allergic to just about everything; any contact with the outside world, and he'd get violently sick, end up in the hospital.  It was really bad.

Okay, okay.  Maybe I'm not THAT bad, but I do have allergies, big ones, that kick me in the tail (dust, pollen, grass, molds being the worst offenders).  Other stuff that bothers me include mountain cedar, cottonwood, and BEE STINGS (the WORST of all; any contact with Mr. Bee could prove fatal; I'm that allergic to 'em.  So I try to have as wide of a berth around bees as I possibly can.  They stay away from me, and I'll do the same!).

I also have asthma.  It only bothers me if there's a lot of smoke/smog in the air (that or ozone), but it's nothin' that my inhaler (or my meds) can't fix.  So far I've managed to stave off a bad attack, but I do sometimes wheeze if there's a lot of junk in the air.  It's annoying!

As long as I do my inhaler, take my meds, and stay away from the things that give me the most trouble, then I shouldn't worry.  I'm doing good, especially when it comes to my asthma; I haven't had a decent attack since the spring.

Let's hope that trend continues! :)

School is going well:  we're already startin' to practice for the Christmas program that the choir will be participating in the week before Christmas.  Sure signs that my birthday is approaching fast:  in less than three months I'll be sweet sixteen.  Sixteen years old.  Wow!!  Seems that just yesterday I was a little kid; now I'm definitely in my teen years.  Time sure does fly by quickly!

In a month the tryouts for "American Idol" will be commencing here in town.  I plan on being there.  I am going to give it my best shot; think I could do it.  I will be of legal age by the time AI comes on; why not??

I still want to pursue my music, my singing.  That's my passion in life.  God's gifted me with a singing ability; I'm not going to abuse it; I want to sing (and hopefully spread the Message of His salvation doing it)!!  If I become famous, great; if not, it wasn't meant to be.  I still could go in the missions field, which is another one of my goals.

In a month or so I will start taking driver's ed.  I am getting nervous.  I don't know if I'm ready to take on such a huge sense of responsibility; I hear about all those accidents or deaths, and the thought of driving absolutely terrifies me!

I will be taking classes at the local Tennessee License Bureau; it will be designed for drivers with physical or mental disabilities.  I only hope I do well; I just don't relish the thought of me getting behind a machine that can kill!

Well, I'm going to go now.  I hear mama and daddy rising.  I will write in here another time.  Until then, take care and God bless!  (I will probably forgo going to church this morning, go this evening instead.  Get all the rest I can, make sure I'm fresh for when I return back to school tomorrow!)

Bye! (I'm goin' back to bed now.  Good night! :P)

~Love, your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne. :)

Karen,

Lot of humor in this one: well done, Ronee, glad you're feeling better! Even with the worst case of BedHead you've ever seen, you look MAHvalous, darling. :) Better than all pale and passed out...right?

Well I am glad Ronee is feeling better. She sounds like such a bright young girl taking life very serious in what she wants to do with it. She also understands the dangers of driving. I wish her luck in life and all she plans to do. Thank you for sharing.

Newfie Hugs are on the way, Rose
