Sagie writes in her journal while in study hall; she is bored out of her mind.

Tomorrow also happens to be her seventeenth birthday; she wants to see if she can talk her guardians into letting her attend a friend's Hallowe'en party that she's been invited to.

Hullo, Hullo!  This is Sagie McDermott writing!  Thought you'd like to know how I'm doing.

I'm doing.  That's about all I can say.  Some days are (pretty) good; others, not-so-hot-so.  Still fighting with Uncle Fenton and Aunt Reba; I've since learned to tune them out, especially when they go on their stupid religious kick.  I think they're beginning to realize I'm just not interested.

I stay out of their hair; they stay out of mine.  I feel this is the best arrangement; that way peace can reign around the house.  Peace for me is a rare commodity.

Still hearing from Kierra; still have to answer her.  She must think I dropped off the planet or died.  Well, screw her; she's a goody-two-shoes, another one of those religious fanatics.  I hate them; they drive me bat crazy!!!!

I never did got to Razor Gonzales' Hallowe'en bash.  Because of my stupid actions, I didn't get to go.  Got busted stealing some eye shadow from Wal*Mart; have since been un-grounded, but I am still on probation, I think.

Aunt Reba and Uncle Fenton won't let me go anywhere without asking their permission first, and they know I have been invited to a Hallowe'en bash tomorrow night, at Rica's house.  Rica's my other best friend; she's a cousin to Razor.  She's known for giving the best parties:  music will be throbbing, the beer/alcohol will be flowin', and who knows what else??

I won't get into the drinkin' aspect of it, but anything sounds better than sittin' round the house, collectin' dust (or spiders, whichever comes first!).

Tomorrow I turn seventeen years old.  Yeah, it's my birthday.  Don't plan on doing anything special unless I can talk my aunt and uncle into letting me go to Rica's house.

I won't tell her about the booze; I'll leave that part out.  Maybe they'll be nice, let me go.  I would love it!!!!

Uncle Fenton has tried to invite me to go with them to their church for their Harvest Festival.  How lame can you get??  It's Hallowe'en; time for ghosties, witches, goblins, and monsters, NOT celebrating harvests!!  I mean, how stupid can one possibly get????  I told them, hell no; I won't go!

'Course they got mad, but then, that's nothin' new....

Gotta think of a way to let them to let me go to Rica's house tomorrow night.  I'll see what I can come up with.  Wish me luck!!

Well, study hall is fixin' to end, so I'll vamanos for now.  I will write in here again soon; take care and be good!  Don't let the ghosties bite!!  BOOO!  Happy Hallowe'en (or in my case, Happy Birthday)!!!!

~Love, your (Witchy) friend, Sagie. :D

Kierra is not some religious nut, she is a girl who is just trying to live her life the best she can.

Now, we don't know what kind of wasp got up her nose but it seems that the young "woman" is pretty up in arms.
Perhaps something will come along and make to change her mind.

Sagie is celelbrating her 17th birthday and my brother and sister-in-law is celebrating their 56th. I must say growing up we did look forward to those Halloween bashes. They were the greatestand I can understand why sagie wants to go but her behavior will have to improve with her relatives if she wants to win them over.

Excellent story. Sagie sounds like some girls I went to school with. I hope she doesn't get herself into any major trouble.

Love this character and her upbeat even if a little angry at the world attitude...she still makes me smile.

Such anger and defiance in this young lady's words: hope things turn out for the good for her. She's been hurt so much ... well done, Karen.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
