Hallowe'en Eve, October 30, 2008, Nashville, TN, 3:57 p.m.~

Dear Journal~

It's just me,  Ronee'.  Wanted to write in here to wish all of my friends a happy Hallowe'en (or in my case, Boo Day) tomorrow!

I am looking forward to it.  Tomorrow night our church is having a Harvest Festival Celebration.  Instead of the traditional Hallowe'en festivities, we will have non-scary events, events like (non-haunted) hay rides, face painting, carnival rides, games, and contests for the kids, a car smash for the teens, gospel music (including a performance by the headliners, the Kevin Spencer Family), and even contests for best costume (pets as well as humans).

It promises to be a lot of fun!

Tomorrow, Johnny and I are performing before the Kevin Spencer Family.  I am looking forward to singing some of my favorite gospel songs on stage; I always enjoy singing/witnessing to people when they come to one of these things.  I pray that a lot of people hear the Message of Jesus' Salvation, and I pray that people come to accept Him as Lord!

I am dressing up tomorrow.  I am going to be a spider again this year.  Have my orange sweatshirt with the big, black glittery spider on the front, my black stirrup pants, my black boots, my dangly spider earrings, and of course, I'll have my eight fake "legs" glued on.  I should look cute! LOL  I don't plan on being a scary spider, especially since at our festival, "scary" is out!  Don't want to frighten the little kids (or those who are arachniphobic; that would not be good!! LOL)!

Maybe I'll even have spiders hanging off my canes; that'd be cute!  LOL

I'll be spider-rific, that's for sure! LOL

The weather promises to be sunny, mild, perfect for a fall festival.  They're expecting scads of people tomorrow; the festival runs from five to ten.  It's gonna be a blast!!

At school, we're having Hallowe'en themed food for lunch (spider stew, mystery meat, hobgoblin hash, jittery jello, salad with eyeballs [olives and cherry tomatoes], etc.); some kids will probably even dress up.  I know I'm going to.  :)  I'll just wear my spider get-up (sans the legs; those will go on later before I head out to the festival) and pray I don't mess it up somehow!

Johnny is going as the Hunchback of Notre Dame.  That may be a little scary, but that's what he is going as.  I just hope he doesn't scare any little kids; I'd feel bad for him, especially since Pastor Bilkey specifically said no scary costumes!  This is going to prove to be very interesting!

We're fifteen, too old to be dressing up in costumes, but  hey:  we're kids at heart; 'sides, I see maman and daddy dress up every year for Hallowe'en!  Hallowe'en is not just for kids anymore! :)

Well, I am going to get something to eat, then decide what homework to work on first; have homework for English, Conversational Spanish, and Social Studies.  ICK; I HATE homework!  I'll be glad when I'm through with it!  That way, I'll have tomorrow to play, all day!
