Dear Journal~

Ronee' here.  Sorry for not writing; been busier than a centipede in a toe-counting contest!  LOL Hope you'll forgive me for the lapse in not writing!

I passed my driver's test.  That's right:  I'm a licensed driver!!  I have my own Tennessee driver's license!!  I was scared to death when I had the driving part of the test, but I aced it!!  I was so happy!!

I can drive daddy's Bug to school if he's not using it; otherwise, I take the bus, as per usual.  I like driving the car; it's given me independence I never thought I'd achieve, and I feel so free!!  I just pray, hope I don't get in a wreck; I don't know what I'd do!! Some of those people drive like idiots; I have to be sooo careful, watch not only my tail, but the tails of others, too!  YIKES!!

The Veteran's Day celebration at church was a howling success; lots of hungry veterans came, and they were very appreciative.  I went to help; I helped with the food (I was in charge of the mashed potatoes; I spooned it on plates as people went by.)  I had a great time! :)

And no, I did not filch any potatoes.  I sure wanted to, but I knew better!! LOL  I got to eat after the veterans/their families had been served; by then, I was gooooood and hungry!!  LOL

Now we have the Golden Corral to look forward to.  We'll take granpy out to eat; he'll get his free meal as long as he shows proof he was in the military.  I am sure Roberto Sormiento and his family'll be there, too.  It will be good to see M'Buti, Roberto, and their passel of kids again; been a little while since I've seen them last.  I sure hope M'Buti is okay, or the kids!

Roberto was in the Marines.  He's still in the Reserves; so in a way, he's still IN the Marines.  And he can still fit into his uniform; I drool every time I see him in his Marine uniform; he's sooo sexy!! WOW!!  Ain't nothin' finer than a Marine in uniform.  WHOOOO!!!!

That or Air Force Blues.  Holysmokes!!  LOL

We've been practicing for the Cantata; so far it's going good, but I'll have Christmas carols in my head for DAYS!!  LOL  I don't mind; I love Christmas, and I love the fact that my birthday is coming up, too!  (Born ON Christmas Day; I'm a Christmas Chick!!)  I'll be sweet sixteen!!  WOW!!  Incredible!!

Seems like only yesterday I was in diapers.  Now I'm driving; time sure flies when one is having fun!! And I am; I'm having a total blast with life!! :)

I'm lookin' forward to Turkey Day:  family's coming home.  Lightning.  Steffi.  Melizza.  Dianna.  Anh and his girlfriend, Thu.  Dwerlina.  And cousins to see again.  It's going to be a wild, crazy time at Casa Sandusky; I can't wait!!!!  And I'll see Johnny's big brother, Erick; he's coming, too, from New York!  Haven't seen him in a few years; it's gonna be great!!

After we have all that delicious turkey, we'll lie around like slugs, watch football, and then wait 'til the morning, where we'll probably continue our Christmas shopping. 

(I'm not getting much; I am getting little gifts this year; economy ain't what it used to be.  It's pretty bad; lots of people havin' to scrimp and save to afford what they need in life; luxuries are hard to come by now; everything costs so darned much!)

I just hope the family appreciates what I'm givin' 'em for Christmas!

And I hope the economy turns around soon!  We are livin' in some mighty lean times nowadays; it's scary to see!!

I pray daddy or maman don't lose their jobs; that'd be the last thing they (or our family) need(s)!!

That's one of my worst fears:  our ending up on the street, homeless and destitute!!

Well, I've just managed to bum myself out, so I'll go, as I have to get ready for school.  I also have to eat, take my morning round of meds.  ICK.  I hate medicine breath!!  Take care, and may God bless you always!
