Yesterday I had very bad day and decided to go to British museum. After an hour and a half of looking on armor, bijou, plates and mummies, I came to a little side room with "Non-important oldies" on the door.
On the left, there was a display of all sorts of oldies.
Here you can see an old phone where you have a device for speaking and hearing separately.
There, in behind, is phonograph with steel sparkling needle.
And I see films camera with rolling hand, and a lot of such stuff that you found in granny's attic or garage sales of distant uncles.
I turned to the right and saw very interesting show. The label on it "127 loves" did not explain me anything and I bended to see closer:
Here they put Mark Anthony's love to Cleopatra. After almost 2000 years, still vivant.
And here are Love Letters ofNapoleontoJosephine: "I awake all filled with you. Your image and the intoxicating pleasures of last night, allow my senses no rest..."
I tried to rest my senses too and looked farther:
There were 125 more different loves. Large and small, used and untouched, selfish and givving all loves. Even Bart Simpson's animated love and giraffe's love to her baby. Some rusted, some shining, but all still in working condition.
Why they put it here in this room, I easily understood, as it really was a collector's rarities. I myself didn't see a real love for a while. And here it looked real and nice. Could be interesting for me to try it too. What have I to lose?
I went to Marks & Spencer on Oxford street and asked for love department - 5.5th floor, no elevator. Got there and asked a shop girl where is love.
-which love?
-I don't know. What do you have?
-Man/woman or man/man or woman/woman or man/woman/woman or woman/man/man
-OK. OK. I understand the principle. What other kinds?
-Mother/son and son/mother mother daughter and..
-Next?
-The love of money, the love of diamonds, the love of work..
-I understand. But do you have some allover love.
-Do you want to try the love of people? It's rather like gimmick but could do.
-Is it expensive?
-Cheaper then love of money but more expensive that monolove. I didn't show it to you. Maybe you want it?
-Monolove - you mean love yourself?
-yes, try it. Could be very fulfilling.
-Nah. I'll try the love of people. Sounds more universal.
-Do you wish to wrap it, or you'll take it for immediate use?
-Immediate use.
-Pay in the cash please. And thank you that you have bought in Marks & Spencer.
-What is it? You thank me for buying?
-Yes. I'm now on "people love" too, so I thank you. It felt nice to do it. Just try it yourself. First, put it on, of course.
-Thank you.
-Well, how do you feel?
-You know what, it DOES feel nice to thank you. What a nice person you are!
-You too. Good day.
-To you too. Bye.
-Bye
And I ran to check the new achieved love on my girlfriend that thought to leave me.
