One year old. My youngest two children, twins, are turning one year old tomorrow. Hard to believe that just one year ago they were born (a little early, perhaps, but both arrived, healthy and crying lustily)!
Little Ian Charles and Isaiah Cameron Sandusky are little miracles in all sense of the word. They were totally unexpected; we didn't expect to have any more children after we adopted sixty two previously to their being born! LOL They came quite by accident, and what a happy accident it was, too! Our lives are indeed made richer because of these two precious little gifts from God!
Tomorrow we will be having their first birthday party at our house. Most of the children will be in attendance, as will some friends, neighbors who love the boys almost as much as we do. There will be plenty of cake, plenty opportunities for pictures, lots of laughter (and some tears, I suspect), and a big, big mess to clean up afterwards (*sigh!*). LOL It will promise to be a wild, rollicking good time!
I was eating Thanksgiving dinner last year at the Golden Corral when I unknowingly went into early labor (thought at first it was gas pains; some gas pains! LOL). When I got to the hospital, they were born less than an hour later. They each weighed five pounds.
They were due Christmas. They couldn't wait any longer to be born! And what a holiday to be born on: Thanksgiving! It gives the meaning of Thanksgiving a whole new level! I am indeed thankful for these two bright-eyed, dark-haired little guys who have managed to turn my life upside down a time or two (or three)!
Now they are going to be one year old tomorrow, and they have grown into ever curious, adventurous little souls that keep me hopping! They make me proud to be a mommy; I am indeed blessed beyond measure!
~Love, Ian and Isaiah's proud mamma, Louie May Sandusky. :)
P.S.: Obviously, they don't look like that now; that piccy was taken just after they came home from the hospital; they were a week old.
