My husband and I were in Union Square in San Francisco this weekend watching the ice skaters on the new outdoor rink when I gazed upon a huge billboard above the storefronts that read, “Peace + Love. Have a hippie holiday!”
Interesting advertisement. The hippie generation of the 60’s and 70’s are now in their 50’s and 60’s. Was peace and love achieved? Are hippie and happy the same?
As you gather with family and friends to celebrate this Thanksgiving, give thanks for the peace and love you have known in your life. Envision the possibilities for our future generations and decide to participate in creating the future.
