     Part 4

- Mummy, you told yesterday that Mr. King talked with Mr. Author. Who is this?

-Mr. Author is the author of King's story.

-Do we have too an author?

-You mean like somebody who wrote our story?

-Yes.

-May be. I do not know. If we are in a story, then there is an author.

-And if we are not in a story? How can we know if we are in or out?

-I do not know, Puffy.

-But mothers know all the answers.

-Not always, Puffy.

The silence was very heavy and mother decided to explain.

-You see, mother knows very many answers but not all. Nobody knows all.

-Nobody?

-Nobody.

-But you know many?

-Yes.

-I love you mummy.

-And I love you Puffy!

.

After 3 minutes of kisses and hugs, Puffy pushed her mother away and said:

-But it doesn't mean that you don't tell me the story of the dragon.

-Of course. Listen:

| The king and Dan went and rode in the forest for many hours.

| The king was very tired.

| -Dan, is it long until we meet the dragon?

| -Why do you ask me?

| -You see (The king wanted to tell about him being tired, but thought that he had better say something else) there are children who want to meet the dragon.

| -What?

| -You know, I tell everything that happens to us to my Queen and she tells to children.

| -Wait! What do you mean, "You tell your Queen"?

| -I mean, I take out the phone and speak with her.

| -What! You have a phone and you didn't tell me about it?

| -I did not think that it is important.

| -Yeh. You are right. You speak with your wife - it is important. And I need to check with my sister whether she went already to the hospital to give birth - and it is not important!

| -I did not know about your sister.

| -Well. I do not have a sister. But I could. And it Could be important.

| -Sorry.

| (Dan made a face)

| -Wait! Why should I be sorry? I did not do you anything bad.

| -But could.

| -Could does not count.

| -It counts

| -No, it is not

| -It does. It does. It does.

| They continued arguing for some time more until the King decided to change the subject.

| -Well, my Queen told me that Josepf and Lizzie want to meet the dragon today. Not tomorrow, but today.

| -Why didn't you tell me it before?

| -Why? What difference it could be?

| -We could come to the dragon quicker.

| -How come?

| -Well, I know a shortcut to him.

| -Then why did you drag for so long?

| -I thought you enjoyed to be with me.

| -Take me immediately to the dragon !!!

The tone with which the King said this was so high that scared birds on trees near them flew away.

For half a minute they could not speak, because birds did so many noise that you could not here yourself.

Then they heard:

| *-Shut up!

| Some new voice came through the forest.

| The king fell on his back from the fright.

| - What is it?

| -Peter, be cool. It is just Johny.

| -Johny?  -asked the King, calming himself slowly.

| -Yep.

| -What Johny?

| -Johny the dragon.

| -???

| -Johny is my friend. He is a dragon. But he is my friend too.

| -Do you mean that all the time we were looking for your friend?

| -Yes.

| -Why didn't you tell me?

| -Would you believe me?

| -.(king opened his mouth).(king closed).(opened).(closed).(he continued to behave like a fish out of the water, opening and closing the mouth)

| -Peter! Come out of it! Say something.

| -I hate you. You just… you just… (The king was too educated to use bad words. So he looked for something else. But only bad words came to his mind).

| -Peter. I just.. It's okey. Forget it. We are here.

| And the king came out to the forest clearing.

| There, to the left, stood the Dragon and looked at them.

.

.

| -He is not that frightful.

| -Why should he be such?

| -I thought that somebody who eats girls could be frightful.

| -But Johny does not eat girls. He prefers grass.

| -Grass?

| -Yes, of course. Many of dragons eat grass. They can eat people too, but prefer grass. Do you want that Johny will begin to eat girls?

| -Oh no. Oh no. of course not. So, what you are saying is that my daughter is safe?

| -And never was in danger. Maybe by just when your peasants wanted to kill her before giving to the dragon.

| -I am relieved.

| -I am glad.

| -So, Dan. Is this the end of the story?

| -By no means!

| -But the dragon is not dangerous. So I can return to my kingdom.

| - No. The problem is that your neighbour heard about your going to kill the dragon and he was sure YOU would be killed, so he decided to take your kingdom to himself.

| -But there are laws against it.

| -Well. He took the best lawyers (best lawyers, meaning best liars) and the interkingdom judge thinks to give him your kingdom.

| -But it is not fair.

| -I know. But yet you have to struggle, to bring the justice back.

| -How can I do it?

| -You can ask Johny to help.

| -What Johny understands in law that he can help?

| -Didn't you know that Johny was the first in his law class? He is fine lawyer. If anybody can help, it is Johny.

| -Very well. But we will speak about it tomorrow, because I am too tired now.

-Mummy, you tell this because you think that I am tired? But I am not.

- Nevertheless, Puffy, you should go to sleep now, as it is late.

-Weeeeeeell. I agreeee. Good night.

-Good night.

Actually jack.... I think this story is very good... too complicated for children (of small ages) This is more of a grown up type story...told in childrens form... It has a good storyline, and it grows... but this writing to me....is more "campish"....sort of like "underground" style... more for the youth oriented.... today the teens would enjoy something like this...grown up style....yet...cultish... (wrong word? hard to explain)... but the point is... I like it... I do believe that because you write in english...with a foreign style...(for us) this makes it harder to follow..but because I love your writing...I understand it well... ??? so... not sure how to help with this... except that the writing is good... perhaps more for European market? lindalaw
