Sassy walks in the record store to the back where the

Victrolas are playing the latest tunes. It's a catchy new dance

called the Charleston. Sassy's "flapper" dress has a short hemline with lots of  beaded fringe and glitter!! And of course Sassy shoes for Sassy!!

Nothing less than the best!!

Music fills the record store as she and her friends practice the

new dance steps....the steps are easy and very popular!!

It's a free and snappy dance tune....much different than the waltzes

of just a few years ago...

Sassy is glad of that!

The Great War is over and its time to have fun again!

Even "Lucky Lindy" crossed the Atlantic from New York all the

way to Paris, France in a new fangled contraption called

an airplane!! What times we live in!!

There are also moving picture show where new movie

stars like Rudolf Valentino stars in "The Sheik"  and Lillian Gish stars in

"Orphans in the Storm". The women just loved Valentino!!  The music

is provided by a piano player and the audience reads the dialogue. "Talkies" don't arrive until the 1930's...

A train or a bus is not the way to go traveling anymore!!

Much keener to be on a ship crossing the Atlantic or Sassy

could even see herself flying up in the skies in one of those

modern planes!!

In the middle of the dance number, the record skipped a bit, so one

of the fellas changed the record...

Its a time of Prohibition, fancy cars, bootleg whiskey, short skirts, free thinking and lots of dancing!! All the daddies are rich and life is turning

a corner after the Great War...There is prosperity and good times

ahead in the World....

It's a fun time to enjoy living and to be free spirited and

vivacious and just have lots of fun!! Even her outfit is Sassy

just like her name. ....Her favorite expression is "That's the cat's pajamas!"...

The 1920's a time of change of attitude, music, and fun ....

Sort of a mardi gras of the early 20's century and its just

one big party....
