What do you get when you mix family and food? Here's the recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

*Two loving parents

*Sixty three pounds of children (children count as one pound each)

*Eight pounds of grandchildren (again, each child equals 1 pound)

*Two pounds of in-laws

*Spouses, cousins not necessary, but optional ingredients

*More than enough love, faith, and hope to go around, make sure there's plenty for everybody!

*Throw in some furry animals for added excitement

*Two thirty five pound turkeys, done Cajun-style (beef, chicken, or ham optional for those who don't do the turkey thing)

*Fifteen boxes of StoveTop stuffing (turkey or chicken, beef optional for those who don't do chicken or turkey)

*Six BIG bowls of lettuce or three-bean salad (tomatoes, carrots, celery, peppers, cucumbers optional, as are the choices of dressing:  French, Italian, vinegar)

*Six BIG bowls of fruit or jello salad

*Six BIG bowls of cranberries or beets

*Fifteen pounds of choice between mashed or sweet potatoes

*Twenty pounds of Cajun-spiced crawfish (optional)

*Ten pounds of rolls or homemade French style bread

*Plenty of banana bread or vanilla pound cake to go around.

Mix all these ingredients together, and you're bound to end up with something tasty, something that sticks to the ribs, bellies full to near-bursting, and lots of laughter, fun, and good times, family style!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Sandusky Family (and from me, Karen Lynn, The Texas Tornado)!  May it be safe, fun, full of turkey (or ham or beef) and all the fixin's, lots of laughter, joy, bountiful blessings from God above, and family togetherness!

Where was that recipe when I was a child? if that were, I would have had a blast and a proper guide to pass along.
