Hello!  How are you?  I hope this finds you well and happy!

Sorry if I haven't written since September; you know how that goes.  LOL  As a wife and mother, who has TIME to write??  LOL

Thanksgiving has just passed, and now we are in the Christmas season.  The City is all decked out in her Christmas finery, and the shoppers are busy picking out their gifts for family, friends, co-workers.  It is a most wonderful time of year; there's just something magical about Christmas in New York City!

It's me, M'Kaya.  I'm doing fairly well; can't complain.  Doesn't do much good.  My husband, Franklin, and our six-year-old son, Stefan, keep me grounded, as do friends, family.  If it were not for them, I'd gone crazy long ago!  LOL

We are trying to get Stefan some of his presents for Christmas.  We know he's still youg enough to believe in Santa, so we have been acting mighty secretive around him, so he doesn't suspect something's going on.  It's hard to keep a secret; when he looks at us, he looks so innocent, so trusting, and it about breaks my heart, each and every time!  LOL

So far, we've gotten him a new bedroom set; as for us, as a family, we've purchased a Wii game/entertainment system.  Don't know how we are giong to hide something that major, but we have no choice; we want it to be a big surprise come Christmas morning, especially for little Stefan!

We've gotten some smaller gifts, too, but they're a drop in the bucket compared to the game system and bedroom set!  We will be paying on this for months after Christmas has passed!  It's worth it, though; anything to bring a smile to our son's face is cause for joy!

The snow has started flying; it's very cold here.  Time to break out the woolen underwear; this gal just can't seem to get warm:  once I get cold, I might as well hang it all up!  It's going to take more than a roarin' fire in the fireplace or some soft holiday/Christmas music to warm this diva up!  LOL

Like I'm talkin' bedtime!  LOL  As in bed TIME.  LOL 

For Christmas, Wendy's family is coming to spend the holiday with us.  I know it's hard for them; it's hard for me, too.  I just loved that gal so much!  I really do miss her; it is a shame she had to die so young, and so suddenly!  I think it's the best thing for all concerned.

I have started my Christmas cards.  I have to see if Louisiana Sandusky moved:  I'd sent her card out last week; it came back.  "No such address".  Great!  I hope she's okay; that's not like her not to call, write, or anything; it's been a little while since I last heard from her!

I just hope her family's okay!  I know she's got two baby twin boys, but they can't possibly keep her THAT busy!  LOL

Well, I am giong to continue to work on my Christmas cards; I want to get them all out in the mail before the twelth, which is reputed to be the busiest mailing day of the Christams season.  I will write again soon; until then, take care and God bless!
