I succeeded to buy something on Sale day.

The guard came closer to the door and stopped two feet from it.

Looked on the wristwatch.

Looked on the clock on the wall.

Once more on his wrist watch.

Scrubbed his forehead and looked on the door.

Extended his hand to the key in the door and turned it.

It was the last I saw him.

The swarm of women bodies overturned him and dragged into the shop.

Although I intended to release the door handle the moment the shop is opened, but other hands were on mine trying to hold and I didn't succeed to open my hold and was brought into the shop with the handle still in my fist.

I wanted to reach left side, but the stream of hungry for "sell" lionesses took me away to the second floor.

Then part of what remained of it took me to the third floor.

There, as the tide went to its peak and receded, I remained laying on the sunny-yellow floor of "Sports" department.

It took me some moments to realise that I have to go down to the first floor.

I took four deep inhales.

I was ready not to breathe for at least 2.5 minutes.

Determined to win this time, I dived down.

Left hand pushes the girl of 25, right hand pulls a woman of about 43.5 to me than pushes her to right. My body enters the gap between bodies.

My nose is assaulted by smell of perspiration from left and cheap perfume (that you use against mosquitoes) from right. And I float towards the scent of soapless soap.

The process repeated at least 27 times until I see the staircase.

I see it but cannot touch it as here are too many women moving one near another in endless line.

They keep me some 4 inches above the stairs but I do not care as the river is going downwards.

But near the end of staircase, the stream is being divided to two by the sandals counter.

I cannot decide quickly enough where to go and find myself on the counter.

I hear "Oh, look what beautiful shoes!" and feel my legs remaining only in socks.

"Ei, woman! You took my shoes"

"Woman call your wife!. And it's mine shoes. I saw them first"

"But they were on my feet!" I cry in desperation but nobody answers me.

So I look for some kind of shoes.

Two counters away I see sea sandals.

The colour is awful. But I know that after 7.37 minutes after the shop opening I won't find any other shoe, so I jump for it.

And my hand close on somebody else fist.

"It's mine!" I cry and try to liberate the sandal from the vicious hand pulling it away from me.

"Hm" I here and feel my fuse begin to jump.

A moment before it goes in "boom", I shake the hand attached to sea sandals, hear somebody flying through the shop, take one in left hand, second between my teeth and with right hand make my way out.

I hear bodies tumbling down and then indignant cries die under women feet.

I continue. My elbows begin to ache. But I continue.

Just ten more bodies and I am out.

With the last of my willpower, I lift hands and legs up and struggle my way through them and I touch the door.

Wow!

I succeeded.

Let's see what my wife will say to it now?

Thought that I won't be able to buy something on the Sale?

Ha. Look on those sandals.

I put them on my legs and try to walk.

They are different size.

But I don't care too much - after all, they are both small.

Who cares?

The most important that I succeeded to buy something on Sale day.

But it is my last time.

Next time, if I want some excitement, I can make bungee jumping. At least with it I am sure to return home with my shoes

Jack, I am still laughing....I could see you going thru every step...and being jostled and assaulted...it is so funny...(altho I know if it was true..it wouldn't have been funny...duh!)...but I love this humor...and the reality of it... and I bet those sandals look fabulous with your toes all scrunched up inside them...like Cinderella's step sisters who couldn't fit into the glass slipper!!! eeks... lindalaw
