Dear Journal~

Louisiana here.  I am at work, waiting to start my shift.  I'm in my office, enjoying the quiet of the early morning, before all he** breaks loose.  LOL  I start at seven; get off at three today.  A short day for me.  *giggle*

We are just about ready for Christmas.  Today Steffi is flying in from Texas, and Anh and Thu are due in later this afternoon, early evening.  Monday, Lightning and crew are due in, and Dwerlina and her family are due in as well.  It is going to be a very full house come Christmas morning!

We are looking forward to it.  Ain't nothin' more cozy than family on a cold, frosty winter's day, especially on a day like Christmas!  :)

We are completely done with our shopping.  Presents have been wrapped, and they will be put underneath the tree come Christmas Eve evening, after all the kiddies have been put to bed.  Thank God for older kids who can help; we want the littler ones to believe that it was actually Santa Claus who came and magically put the gifts there. 

Christmas.  What a magical, marvelous time for children, particularly the littler ones!  I love watching Ian and Isaiah's faces as they see the lights, see all the colors of Christmas; it's precious beyond words!

Our house looks like a Christmas factory threw up.  The outside lights are on, the Nativity scene is in place (I just hope we can get through another year without some jerkoff absconding with our Baby Jesus!!), and the presents, as I have just mentioned, have been bought and wrapped.  I think I maxed out my credit cards; I'll be paying on them for a year!! LOL  My goodness!  LOL

This week is a bad week:  birthdays just about every day.  Birthdays today, tomorrow, the day after that, and the day after that!  WOW!  Another reason why my credit cards are going *OW*!  LOL  I'm always glad when the week of Christmas is overwith and done; then there's no more birthdays until January! LOL

The Cantata was cancelled last night.  Weather.  Ice and snow; we got at least five inches of snow, and a half inch of ice.  Very hazardous weather conditions; took me twenty five minutes to get to work, what usually takes me ten.  Cars all over the place, numerous accidents, most of them fender-benders.  I slid on the ice, too, but managed to gain control of the wheel, thank goodness!  I never was so glad to pull into the parking lot at NMH!

Well, I gotta run; start my shift in a few.  I will write in here again, probably a day or two before Christmas.  Until then, take care, and may God bless you abundantly!  And above all, Merry Christmas from me and my family, from my house to yours!  Remember the REAL Resaon behind the Season!
