Hi!  My name is Saffron.  Saffron Grace Taylor is my whole name.  I am eleven years old.  I live in Texas with my mommy, daddy, and little brother, Rylie David.  He's four.

I have Down's.  That means I don't learn as fast as most kids my age.  I go to special classes at school, where the teachers there help me learn better.  I love school; at school I have many friends.  My best friend is Emily.  She has Down's like me.

I have funny looking eyes; they look like a China person's eyes.  I have small ears, a snubby nose, and a large tongue that makes me sound funny when I talk.  I am also fat.

Because of my Down's, I have to go to the doctor's every so often; he checks me out to make sure I'm okay.  I also have therapy, which helps me to move better.  I have therapy three days a week.  I see my doctor every month.

Even with my problems, I'm like most kids.  I love to laugh, talk on the phone, play on the computer, and read.  (I learned how to read last year, and I love it!!)  I love to dance, sing, and watch "Caillou" and "Sesame Street" on tv.  I also love "Arthur".

In my class, all the kids there are handicapped.  Some are in wheelchairs 'cause they can't walk, and some can't talk.  Some can't see, and some can't hear.  And there's those like me, who have Down's or other brain problems that makes learning hard for them.  Our teacher is Ms. Pennycott, and we love her so much!  She's so nice!!

When I grow up I want to be a cheerleading lady or a teacher like Ms. Pennycott.  Or maybe a mom, and have twenty kids.  I'll name the girls Penny, and the boys Timmy.  Or maybe Shawn.  Yeh.  Think that will be good! :)

First I have to find a man to be my husband.  You can't have a family without a husband-man!

Even I know that!  :P

I love to sing.  I want to be a singer, too, in case I can't be any of the other things I listed.  Maybe I can be as famous as Celine Dion; she's my very favorite singer in the whole wide world! 

And you want to know something?  Next month, Celine is coming here to Texas!!  I am gong to see her sing, too!  I hope I can meet her or at least sing for her, so I can show her how good I sing!  That would be way too cool!!!!
