     Arturo Jiminez continues his story.

Hola!  Como esta usted?  Mi, es muy bueno, gracias!

It's just me.  Arturo Rogelio Jiminez.  The one kids call "Mexican White Boy", on 'count of my being half Mexican, half Gringo (white).

Today was not a good day for me at school.  The kids, they kept hasslin' me again, makin' digs about my background.  I was ready to go into defense mode, I got so fed up with it.  By the time I got out of school, I was in tears.

Thankfully, nobody saw me crying; however once I got home, my mamacita, she could tell somethin' was up.  I told her; she just rolled her eyes, shook her head.

She understood.  I'm glad she does; if it were not for my mom, I'd gone crazy, off the deep end, long ago.

This is when I am glad I box.  Boxing is my salvation.  That, and church.  I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have El Dio in my life.  He's everything to me, even more than boxing or mi familia.

I also have my girl, Juana.  Juana Rios.  Now, she's a looker, built in just the right places.  Man, is she caliente!!  I mean, really!  I've had Juana as my girl for the past five months or so, and she and I are, like, really tight.  I met her at a school function; it was instant amor at first sight.

She and I are still sweet on each other.  We belong together, like tacos and salsa.  :)

My mama, she adores her.  Papa, he could care less; he would rather wait for me to date if I were a little older (say, eighteen).  He says I'm growin' up too fast, he says I should remain a little boy.

Yeah, right!

Now, Juana, she don't like it when I fight, but I tell her, it's better I fight someone else instead of pickin' fights with my family, or even her, when I get mad.  She gets the point.

I love it here in Texas.  It's January, but from being outside, you wouldn't know it.  Today, as an example, it was in the sixty degree range, and bright, blue sun-filled skies.  Great skateboarding weather.  Didn't need no winter jacket; went out today with just my tee shirt and shorts, and it felt great!

A lot better than back home in Indiana, where it's only in the teens with snow and wind!  Brrrr!!  It's makin' me muy frio just thinkin' of it!!

This weekend, I plan on going to a huge Mexican music fiesta the city is going to have at the convention center.  I'm planning on going with my friends; I just have to see if I can sweet talk my parents into letting me go.  I pray that I can go; I'd be so disappointed if I couldn't attend!

They're having one of my favorite mariachi groups there, Los Tigres Nortenos, or something like that (never can remember their name, but their music is good, unforgettable!).  They're also having other acts there, and there'll be all kinds of music there:  norteno, mariachi, ranchero, conjunto, salsa, rhumba, etc.  It promises to be great!

Well, it's gettin' late; I'm gettin' estupido en la cabesa, so I'd best go now.  'Sides, if mama sees I'm still up when I have school tomorrow, she may turn me into chili con carne!  So on that note, let me vamenos outta here.  Adios, amigos!  Hasta luego!

~Tu amigo, Arturo.  :)
