Dear Journal~

Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux here!  How are you doing?  Hope this finds y'all well!

I certainly hope you have recovered from Christmas and New Years!  I have; I'm back in school now, already in the thick of things.  Had tons of homework to do last night (spent over four hours doing it!!), but I got it done, turned in!  *Sigggh*  Playtime is over!

I am enjoying having some spending money, and also enjoying my new Christmas gifts, in particular, the music.  I am also loving my new books! 

I have been doing fine; am over my cold.  Just have a trace of the leftover cough, but other than that, I feel just like my old self again.  I am so glad; I HATE it when I get sick!!

Johnny has a nice, fat bruise on his left forearm, by his elbow:  he pinched it between his wheelchair and the wall; he was going to do something in the semi-light, and he didn't watch where he was going.  It looks nasty, not to mention, painful!  I look at it, and I go *OW*!

Other than his arm, he is doing super:  no new alarming symptoms of his MD, no breathing trouble, no seizures, no nothing!  Hope it lasts; I want my brother around for a loooooooong time to come!!

Oh! Oh!  Oh!!  Guess what!!  Next month, Celine Dion is coming to Nashville, and we are going to see her perform!  We got tickets; the last time I saw her, I was like ten years old, and I got to meet her!  She was very nice! 

I still have the piccy of me with her, and it's hanging on my bedroom wall!  My friends see it, and they get jealous; they're like, "You've MET her??" and I'm like, "Yeah!"  They can't believe it 'cause Celine, she's a world-renowned DIVA!!

I hope to get to meet her again when we go see her in concert; maybe she'll ask me to come up on stage and sing with her!  Oh, that would be AWESOME!!  I just LOVE how she sings!!

And later on this summer, the "America's Got Talent" cast from this past year (Donald Braswell, David Militello, Kaitlyn Ashley Maher, "Nuttin' But Strings", Neal E. Boyd, Eli Mattson, and others) are coming to perform a special show; we may be going to that, too!  That's in July, I think. 

Time to get out the autograph books, and more film for my camera!!

Yesterday, I came home to some excitement:  our neighbors, the Obrynbas, had to go elsewhere after their house caught on fire.  When I got home from school, there were ambulances, firetrucks in the street, across from us, and it was really nervewracking, especially when I saw all the smoke belching from the windows!

I prayed they got out safely.  They did, as I found out later, much to my relief.  It was an electrical fire; there was a short somewhere, and it sparked the fire.  It was scary!!

I will have to say some serious prayers for the Obrynbas!

And so close to New Years, too!  What a shame!
