Taggot Rose Wilson is having a busy winter: she's spending a lot of time of it skiing and doing homework.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming, 10:33 a.m., M.T.~

Dear Journal~

It's me, Taggot!  Taggot Rose Wilson!  How are you doing?  Hope this finds you well!

I am so sorry for not writing in here in so long; been busy with things.  School (I'm now in the sixth grade), homework, vacation, visiting relatives over the holidays.  You know.  Typical kid stuff.

I've also been getting a lot of skiing in.  I got new skis and poles for Christmas, and I have been getting lots of use out of 'em.  We live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, near one of the nation's premier ski resorts, and I go there just about every weekend in the winter.  In the summer, we go on picnics or go on hikes; it's fun!

Mom and dad are doing well, as are my brothers Hunter and Nicky and sisters Rayven and Nickole; however, I have a bit of sad news.  Just before Hallowe'en, one of my cousins was killed in a car wreck.  She was only thirteen.  Her name was Ramona Gayle, and she lived here in Jackson Hole, not far from us.  It really devastated us; I still cry when I think about her.  I am going to miss Ramona so much!

The wreck was caused by a guy going the wrong way in his truck.  He was drunk.

If that hadn't happened, my Hallowe'en would have been super.  I went trick and treating, but it wasn't the same because I had to go alone.  Usually Ramona went with me.  It was upsetting!

Thanksgiving wasn't much better:  we went to my grandma's house, and while there, my stupid uncle and dad decided to get into a big fight.  We ended up leaving early.  I was so mad at my dad I couldn't speak to him for a week!

My uncle loves to talk politics, and politics is one thing my daddy can't stand!  This was what started the fight in the first place.

Christmas was a little better.  We went to the local Methodist Church, where we helped feed the homeless and poor; it was so nice to see them smiling or acting appreciative when we gave them their food!  It makes me realize just how blessed I truly am because I could be in that position.  I just thank God my dad and mom work and that I have a home and food in my belly!

On Christmas Eve, we went caroling, me and some friends.  We sang all around our neighborhood.  That was, until the McGriff's big black pit bull terrier chased us, barking and snapping.  That got a little too scary, so we quit earlier than we planned.

Guess he didn't like how we sang.  Stupid dog!!

Since winter has arrived, I've gone skiing.  That's why you haven't heard hide nor hair from me 'til now.  Too busy having fun (or doing homework)!  I hope you understand why I haven't written.

I found out that my aunt Evangeline is pregnant.  She's having a little boy; he's due sometime in the spring.  I saw my aunt at Christmas, and she's really getting big in the belly!  She looks like she's carrying a baby elephant:  she's HUGE!!  I am so glad for her; that means I will have another little cousin to play with when he gets a little older!

Well, I am going to get ready and go.  Yup.  You've guessed it.  I'm going skiing again.  I'll be gone all day!  I will write in here again soon; I plan on writing in here sooner than I have done as of late.  Sorry 'bout that!  Take care and God bless!

~Love, your friend, Taggot Rose Wilson.  :D

Drunk drivers, can't we get rid of those forever?
Sorry about Ramona, 13 years is an age of promises, not of ends.
And, skiing gives a lot of feelings of freedom, so, get going!
