This is a very short story, but thanks to the support from my good friend, Masarat, this is my 150th story!! You have inspired me to keep going, and I will continue to do so, as long as I am able to!! MUCH thanks to you, my friend!!
I am glad to share these stories with not only Masarat Daud, but each and every one of you at AD!! These stories are mostly fictional, with characters I have created in my mind, but there ARE a few true -life ones, for a spice of variety!! I appreciate the kind (and at times, not-so-kind) responses from each and every one of you at AD. Your input and suggestions will help me to become a better author/poet (although I seem to prefer writing stories over poetry; I still have to work on my meter and finding the right words to use when I do my poetry).
True, you may get sick and tired of people like Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux or M'buti Ayala Sormiento (or even Johnny Sandusky!), but these are the characters I happened to create, and I really enjoy writing about each and every one of them. I have birthed them, given them a voice and a personality, and have developed their life experiences, even though these three have had quite a tragic life story in their own right. Their stories may be tragic, but I also want to feature them in hopeful, or inspiring, stories, and I want them to have happy times too, just like what people experience in real, everyday life. Yes, these three characters are handicapped, but then so am I, and I am writing from the experiences a disabled person goes through. (As you recall in my bio, I mentioned that a lot of my stories will deal with issues that regularly occur in the disabled community; therefore, this is why I write about these three characters so much. No, I don't have to mention about their disabilities so much--especially in the case of Ronee'!--, but it IS rather hard NOT to mention that when the characters ARE disabled!!)
I just hope that my stories don't offend anyone; if they do, I am genuinely sorry; but the moods reflected in the stories are the moods I am presently going through at a particular time. The mood is reflected in these stories. Some are happy, joyful, and
hope-filled; others may be dark, brooding, or filled with a sense of anger, frustration, or even hatred. I am a very moody person at times (and poor Karla can vouch on that all the way to the bank), and my stories often reflect the moods I am experiencing.(A lot of the ones about September 11 especially show my anger and frustration and even pain; these were normal feelings that ALL Americans--and the entire WORLD, for that matter!--showed that horrible day, and they were especially strong for me, as I saw it LIVE on tv as it was happening; and it really unsettled me and my twin sister!)
I hope my stories bring a tear to your eye or a smile to your face. Jesus gave me this Gift (and Karla helped me, too; she gets SOME of the credit, too; Jesus is using her in a MIGHTY way!), and I am NOT going to waste it!!
So here's to Story #151--and beyond!! This writer's tales are NOT through--NOT by a long shot!! So sit back and enjoy!!!

Jeez gurl...I am touched. Thanks so much for this. I enjoy reading everything you write because it's very honest and besides - it's a chunk of your life in a way. Keep writing and don't let anyone or anything get you down. Congrats for your stories...more than 200 now eh! WOW!!
