Hi!  This is your friend Casey Dawn Hackberry writing!  I hope this finds you well, happy!

I'm certainly in a much better mood than my last entry, where I  had gotten into trouble for breaking my mom's antique vase (was bouncing a basketball in the house; it was raining).  I was grounded for a while; now I'm ungrounded, and I couldn't be any happier!  :)

Guess what!!  I am going to be a big sister around Christmastime!  My mom, she's pregnant!!  She's probably a few weeks pregnant, but not enough to look it; however, she's still going to have a baby!!  I am so excited I could just dance!!

Daddy, as you can imagine, is as thrilled as I am, probably even more so!! 

Wait 'til I tell my friends at school!  Oh, this is going to blow their minds!!

Yesterday we went to church.  We have a new pastor; yesterday was the first time he pastored.  :)  He did a good job.  Our old pastor quit; didn't give us the reason why:  he just up and left.  So then the church heads had to scramble to find a new pastor in a short period of time.

 Our old pastor was Pastor Derrick; our new one is Pastor Eleazar.  I don't know much about him excepting he's originally from Africa, in Kenya, I think.  He has the prettiest way of speaking, and he seems to be very nice.

While the adults went to the service, we kids had kid's church.  Yesterday we learned about why we tithe, give to the church.  It was very interesting.  Pastor Craig (the kid's pastor) said it doesn't matter how much you give:  what matters most is how you give, and if you give with a cheerful heart.  That makes a lot of sense!  Our pastor is very smart; he knows the Bible backwards and forwards--and upside down!!  :)

There were a lot of people at church; maybe they came to see if the new pastor would be any good.  Judging from the way they responded while he was preaching, he must have done a good job.  They liked him.  So did I!

Yesterday, at kid's church, one of the younger kids, LaWayne, decided to liven things up by putting his head between the rungs of a ladder because he was bored.  He got stuck:  he couldn't get it out.  They had to call the fire department to help him.  When those big, strong firefighters came to the church, everyone got very excited, and when they got LaWayne unstuck, everyone cheered.  It was really cool!

LaWayne wasn't hurt, just very, very embarrassed.  (He is a little guy; he's probably no older than three.)

Well, I have to go.  It's time I get ready for school, or I will miss the bus.  I'll have to grab an apple or something to munch on while on the bus, or I won't be worth anything before lunchtime!  Take care, and may God bless you!  This is your friend, Casey Dawn saying so long for now!
