Hi!  My name's Emerson!  Emerson Daniel O'Donnell!

I live in Corbin, Kentucky, with my family.  There's my ma, my pa, and my six brothers and sisters:  Corrigan Michelle (10), Harlingen Elijah (9), Maddissenn Renee' (8), Haddison Elizabeth (7), Ezrah Grace (6), and Hudson Hawk (4).  I'm the oldest; I'm 11 1/2, fixin' to be twelve in a few months, in June.

I am in many ways a typical kid:  that is, I love to skateboard, dance (poppin' is my specialty; that, and clogging!), watch "American Idol" and wrasslin' on television, hang out with my friends when I can, and annoy my younger brothers and sisters.  LOL 

In other ways, I'm not so typical.  I'm a musician.  I play fiddle in my pa's bluegrass band; ma and most of my younger brothers and sisters play, too.  I sing, as do some of my siblings.  We've performed at several major bluegrass functions or festivals 'round Kentucky, and our biggest break happened last year:  we played at the Kentucky Opry in Draffenville.

It was there where I met another bluegrass family, the Rameys.  They have a little boy, Colton Blaize, who, at five, is a talented little fiddler; that kid may be young, but he's going places!  He's quite good!  We've since become the best of friends; seems like we're always doin' something together.  If not performin', we're at each other's houses, playing with each other and having a good time!

I have played the fiddle since I was a wee pup of four, Huddy's age.  I am very good at what I do:  I can play a lot of the classic bluegrass songs, even play Cajun style.  I also love to sing; I sing a lot of the time during our performances; people say I am very good, that I have a lot of potential to make it big.

I hope so; I'd give anythin' to be as famous as the late Bill Monroe or Lester Flatt, or as well known as Ricky Skaggs or Ralph Stanley!
