Hello!  Jayne Earhardt here.  Thought I'd write to you, to give you an update as to what's been going on with us.

Two of our children (our ten-year-old son, Hughie, and four-year-old daughter, Flower Grace) are doing fabulous; however, our six-year-old son, Micheal Patrick, is not.  See, he's been having frequent seizures, and we are wondering if the medication he's on is finally giving up the ghost; it no longer seems to be helping him.

At least six times in the last several weeks, Micheal has been having seizures, some so bad he's turned blue all over, and he's nearly stopped breathing.  It's been a scary time for all of us!  He's been in and out of the hospital; doctors can't seem to figure out what is going on with him. 

It's very frustrating!!

Thank God he's now back home with us, but we don't know when the next seizure will strike.  We've been watching him like a hawk; Robert has had to take time off work while we deal with our six-year-old's health problems. 

I feel bad for Hughie, our oldest:  he's had to take over being man of the house while we are at the hospital with Micheal.  He's done a fairly good job, but I feel guilty because he's only a child; he deserves to have fun, not take care of his little sister or brother!!

When all of this is overwith and done, we are going to have to reward him with something extra special, as a way of telling him thank you, how much we've appreciated all of his help during this time of crisis!

Micheal is a sweet, loving boy, don't get me wrong; I just wish there was something we could do to ease his suffering!  It doesn't seem fair that one small child has to go through so much with his health!  I feel as though God is punishing us!

Well, Micheal's alarm is going off again; I pray he isn't going into another seizure!!  I don't know what I'd do if that was happening!  Just keep us in your prayers/thoughts; we could really use them!  Thank you and God bless!  Will write in here again soon!
