Dear Journal~

Bill here.  A Bill who, as a matter of fact, happens to be sick.  Sick with a terrible head cold; started yesterday when my nose began running and wouldn't quit!

Now my nose is stopped up; I can barely breathe.  My head feels like a basketball, and I'm coughing my brains out.  I am very miserable!

Wifey is at work; she has banned me from getting into close proximity of any of the kids or her parents.  So I have been banished to the safety/comfort of my bedroom (preferably in bed).  Here I be, writing on my laptop, to let you know what is going on with me.

Obviously I won't be going out to breakfast tomorrow with the guys from church.  No surprise there; don't want to infect them!  And probably no church for me on Sunday.  A nice, slow, easy(?) weekend for ol' droopy drawers! (Or in my case, drippy drawers!  LOL)

Other than our recent Opry Adventure last weekend, nothing new here.  We were going to go see the Stars On Ice Show at the Reunion Arena tomorrow (had tickets), but it looks like a no-go.  Not going if I am sick! 

Of course, the kids and Louie are all disappointed, but it isn't my fault I came down with this stupid cold!

I had Louie take the tickets with her when she left to go to work, told her to give them to one of her nursing staff members.  Maybe they can go in our stead.  I don't want to be around all that ice when I'm sick like this!  If anything, the chilly air would probably send me into walking pneumonia!

Up until yesterday, I was fine.  Not even as much as a sniffle or a cough (other than my usual asthma/allergy cough); just my usual aches and pains; but now that I'm no longer a greeter at Wal*Mart, it's been a lot easier on my creaky body!  All I get to do is stare at cameras all day in the security area, sit on my butt!  LOL  And get paid for it, too!  Not bad, Bill, not bad at all!  :)

I was online yesterday after work; I ran across this Christian networking site called Shoutlife.  I may have to look into it; it looks like it should be relatively safe.  If it is, then I may join up, maybe even have the kids do the same.  Since they're no longer at MySpace, maybe this will be better for them!

I'm sure they'd like to have more friends, especially since they're always on the computer (even when I say otherwise; somehow they can't seem to stay off)!  Maybe I ought to start taking away their computer privileges if they can't listen!  LOL

Couldn't hurt!  LOLOLOL

Well, I took my cold medicine; am getting fuzzy-headed.  I am going to let you go, so I can get some needed sleep (that is, if my stupid stuffed head or nose will allow it)!  Take care, and may God bless you mightily!  Say a prayer of healing for me; I'd greatly appreciate it!  Thanks in advance!
