The Church hall in Dumfries was under renovation. After it was completed, the pastor asked an artist to paint a thoughtful message on the window on the main street. He called to see the artist''s work the next day. He was disappointed.

It read : SCOTLAND FOREVER.

He approached the artist and told him that his work lacked the religious message he had hoped it would provide. The artist agreed and said he would make it better, and he did. The next day the pastor put his hands on his hips and smiled. It was getting better. It read:

SCOTLAND FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN.
