Dear Journal~

Louisiana here.  I am on break now from my job; go back to work in an hour.  Was supposed to go on break at seven, but had to respond to a Code Blue.  (We managed to save the patient, much to our relief!)  Couldn't get to take my break until now.

Those Code Blues have a way of wearing you out, stressing you out.  You don't expect them; when they do, they throw your entire day off kilter!  My heart's still bumpin' along at a million miles an hour, and I still feel the adrenalin flowin' through my veins!

Hopefully no more Code Blues will go off, especially now that I am on break! *sighh*  Seems my life as a nurse never ends!

I am indeed blessed to have my family.  I go back home in a little over three hours from now, at 11 a.m.; I came in last night at 11.  I am working twelve hours, which is the norm for me. 

I am looking forward to seeing my husband, and also my youngest children, Arjun, Emir, Ian, and Isaiah!  (The others are at school.  I won't see them until three-thirty this afternoon.)

I am blessed to have my church family at Christ Community Assembly of God.  We are starting the "New Testament Challenge"; we will read all the books in the New Testiment (two to four chapters a day, then write about what you've read/learned, then respond by writing in your journals).  It is supposed to ultimately draw you closer to God than ever before.

This is the first time they've done something like this.  Everyone's taking part, even the pastoral staff.  On every second Sunday of the month (twice a month), we will split up into our home teams, and discuss what we've learned.  It's going to be very eye-opening!  I am really looking forward to it!

(I will do my first reading/journal entry this morning, after I get off work.)

I am also blessed to have my job, even though the pay isn't as much as I would like, so I can sustain my large family.  Somehow, though, God always provides; He is never late with his blessings; somehow we always have the extra funds to pay our bills on time!

Often times, we have a little extra, so we can get food, all the necessities for our children, who are all growing up so fast!  It's incredible how God takes care of His children!

He's certainly been a plus in my life, and in the lives of my family!  I don't know what we'd do without Him:  these last nine years of serving Him have been nothing short of astonishing!!  He's provided all we can possibly need--and much more!

I guess this is why I am so "on fire" for the Lord.  I can share my story with others, let them know that God loves them, and He can do the same for them if they just believe! 

God has been working big miracles in my life, and in the lives of my family, as well as friends.  It is on these occasions when all I can do is get down on my knees, offer my thanksgiving to Him!  I have plenty of reason to praise His goodness upon me, even when I feel I don't deserve the blessings He's given me!

It is going to be interesting to see what transpires once I start the "New Testament Callenge"!  It's very exciting to think about; who knows what God has in store for us then??

Well, I am going to get something to eat; my belly's talkin' to me again; it's saying:  "Feed me! Now!!"  LOL  Until later, this is Louisiana signing off; take care, and may God bless you as much as He's been blessing me!
