Milton G. Eddeston writes in his journal while waiting for the cows to be milked. He also has to feed the pigs.

Howdy!  Milton here.  The one with the pigs, the kid who lives on a farm here in Iowa.

Figured I'd write in here while the bossies are getting milked.  Takes a while; thought I'd kill some time.  Then I have to feed the pigs after I'm done with the cows.  *Sigh*  Seems that the work of a farmer is never complete until late!

Bummer!

Thank God for church at nine; at least I have something to look forward to!  Brother Ames (I call him Brother Amen!) preached a powerful sermon about forgiveness last week; let's see what he has for us today!  We shall wait and see!  :)

I go to a Bible-believing church that's nondenominational; people of all faiths are welcome to come and worship.  I've been going there since I was a little piglet (that's a joke, son!).

The weather is still relatively cold for the most part, but we did have some warmth last week here; even had our first thunderstorms of the year.  Took me surprise when the thunder rolled me out of bed at two in the morning!  I hate that!!  GRRRR!!

Oh, goodie.  It has me looking forward to tornadoes, hail, and other fun surprises.  NOT!!

I am grounded.  I punched Haney a little bit too hard last week for going autistic on me, in front of my friends.

I didn't mean to make his nose bleed like a faucet; when mom and dad saw all the blood, they, more or less, freaked, and I got chewed out (and spit back out for good measure!).

Don't know how long I'm grounded for, but until they say it's okay, I can't go anywhere but school or church.

I wish my folks would do something about Haney.  He's the biggest (little) pain in the ass that's ever lived!  I wish they'd ship him to Siberia or Finland, anywhere away from me!!

I know he can't help how he is, but I personally think he acts like a goon to get attention!  I don't think he has autism; I think he's just plain spoiled!!

Well, I have a girl at school who has designs on me.  Tanya Wilson.  She has been ogling me during science class; I guess she must think I'm a stud when I'm really nothin' to look at.  I am going to have to play hard to get; I'm not ready to buckle down to a relationship just yet; I'm too young!!

Maybe down the road, but not now.  Too busy, what with school, the farm, church, etc.

Whoops!  Bossies just got done being milked.  *DING*  On to feed the piggies!  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Milton signing off!  Take care and God bless!  (And please forgive me of the swear earlier, when I said my brother was a pain in the a**!  Well, he IS!!!)

~Milton.  :)

Nice save at the end. Good to hear from Pig Boy again. Is this modeled after anyone in the den we know. He sounds familiar!

An excellent write, Karen, for not having been raised "on the farm," you capture it well. Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Anybody should be happy to be living in on a farm, because many people don't have a idea of which experiences from a clean and peaceful life can do to the psyche and to the body, away from the busy city cacophony with the only sunset of neon lights.
