Howdy-do!  How are you?  (Hey, I'm a poet; I rhymed!  LOL)

I'm doing great!  I'm still pickin' and singin' just about every weekend with my family, and guess what!  I get to perform this weekend at the Kentucky Opry!  I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it!

I am getting better at my fiddlin'.  I can now play "Orange Blossom Special" just like a real fiddle player, 'exceptin' not as fast; but I can play it now without making any mistakes!  I plan on playin' it at the Opry this weekend!

I finally heard from my girlfriend, Kaitlyn.  She sent me a picture of herself, and she said if she's ever in Kentucky, she'd look me up; she'd love to meet me!  I am so happy I could just fly to the moon; I just love her!!

Mama's going to have a baby, as you know.  Don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but she's starting to get fat in the belly.  I hope she has a boy; that way, I can have a little brother to play with, teach him things.  I'm very smart; I know a lot of things!

Mama's going to have the baby 'round Christmas.  What a cool Christmas present:  a new baby!!  Wow!!

Tonight we're having turnup greens for supper, as well as baked ham, sallet (Colton  meant salad), boiled taters, and for dessert, some of mama's wonderful cherry cobbler pie.  Yum; I'm gettin' hungry just thinkin' 'bout it!  Mama's a wonderful cook!

Maybe for my graduation from kindergarten this summer, I might be getting a new puppy.  Mama said I could pick out any puppy I want from the local animal place.  I want to get a coondawg, teach him how to hunt, fetch my slippers, and things.  I want to name him "Banjo".

Hey, I'm a bluegrasser; I gotta name him after something that sounds like bluegrass music!  :)

In a few weeks it's Easter.  I want to make sure I behave good, or Easter Bunny won't get me any chocolate eggs or peeps to eat.  That would not be good; I have to have my chocolate bunnies and peeps! 

We are going to go to church, then go out to eat, and then I can get my stuff from Easter Bunny!  Yay!!  I love Easter time!

I think it's all about the candy; mama and daddy says it's more about Jesus getting off the cross after he came to life again.  He went to Heaven, and everyone was really happy.  I learned about that in Sunday school.   

I'll believe it when I see Jesus in front of me; people say he's around, but I never see him!  He must be playin' a big, long game of hide-and-seek!  :P

Well, I am going to go now.  Supper's 'bout ready.  Mmm, but does those taters, ham, and turnup greens smell yummy!  I can't wait til I get my hands on 'em!  Maybe I'll eat it all, so my family don't get any!
