~You Captured A Faery~
Imagine this on some dark night dreary
Your body feeling a little bit weary
You catch a twinkling from the corner of you eye
You mind says
Oh My!
There before you fluttering by
Is a tiny faery, right before your very eye
You so want to hold her
Yet fear sets in
As your logic does as well
Your minds begins to question
What is wrong with all of this!
What does this all destin?
She sees you staring, you divert your eyes
Yet once again she flutters by
You rub your eyes in disbelief
Yet when you open them again
She's sitting right at your feet!
You look around with pleasure and pain
She has scared you senseless with her beautiful reign!
She has memorized you it's plain to see
You reach out to grab her
Your mind screams NO that's greed!
Your mind screams again NO to what
Your hand so wants to hold
As your mind and eye still tries to behold
This Sprite so tiny, your ward to scold
Yet so full of life
My goodness you think
I have brought this to life!
Now what to do about this you think?
You throw down you pen, paper, and inks
You throw your watercolors into your sink
You know you've gone mad at the thought of this thing
Yet in a moments notice your heart feels heavy and sinks
You look around at your drawing room
Now filled with light
With one thousand or more tiny fae lights
Not only seen but felt by you too!
My oh my, now what shall you do?
As they tugged on the paper upon that which you drew
If only, only if, somehow you'd had a clue the tiny faery
You'd drawn from your minds eye
Would or could have came true !
Suddenly your wife flicks on the light
She says what on earth have you been doing all night?
You look into her eyes with a smile quite wicked
As you tussle your hair and try to think
Your notice how rapid your heart starts to beat!
For across the room you look where she'd sat
The tiny winged thing with the small pointed hat
And gossamer wings, as light as the air
Beckons only with her eyes
To let you know yes indeed
She was there!
With a scolding look your wife turns out the light
Says 'you coming to bed dear'
You say uh no not tonight
I have a headache my lovely, my dear
So for the moment I think I'll sit right here
She walks away, your quickened eyes shift
Only to find the faery no longer sits
Sadness comes across you like never before
As you look at the crumpled paper upon your floor
You pick it up with surprise in your eyes
As one tiny faery stares back
Right into your eyes
With her eyes so beautiful, paper in hand
You reach out to touch her
Then jerk back your hand!
For you know this is far to precious to be held by any mortal man.
So having read my tale of old
What would you do be she your ward to scold?
Would you hold her and crush her like a butterfly's wing
After all she's so very fragile
The tiny precious thing
Or would turn and look away as though you'd never seen?
For life's so full of mysteries that only in ones minds eye Should ever be seen!
A way to use your mind for silent communication. Speaking about the methods in the book I have used since a young age.
