Howdy, folks! Emerson here, Emerson D. O'Donnell, aged 11 2/3. Hope all is well with y'all!
Oh, we're okay, but we're rattled about now. Had some wild and woolly weather travel through these parts yesterday and again last night; some damage to the shed in our yard, plus some shingles got tore off our roof, but we survived; it's only by the grace of God that we did!
My poor baby brother, Huddy, was bellerin' worse than a stuck pig durin' the height of the storm; poor Maddie (Maddissenn), Haddison, and Ezrah (they're four, seven, eight, and six) weren't much better. They made so much noise it's a wonder the neighbors didn't hear 'em!
(Plus we were in our shelter; we didn't want to be blown away by the tornado-driven winds! Hard to hear when we're in our shelter! LOL)
Some parts 'round here got smacked purty good by the tornado, but we were spared. I thank God for that; that we survived such a horrible event is nothing short of a miracle!
Since we played at the Kentucky Opry a few months back, we haven't done much. We got eliminated from the Talent Search one week after I'd written; I was so disappointed! I wanted us to go on, but that's the breaks, folks. Just when y'all think y'all have a chance, boom! It's over, just like that!
Darn! Now we have to wait until next year!
Now, the Ramey Family is still in it, but for how long is anyone's guess. We can only pray and hope they advance to the next round; they're good enough to do so!
Well, I know it's early, but I had to write, tell y'all about the storms of yesterday afternoon and again last night. I also wanted to write to let y'all know I was still alive. LOL
'Sides, I got school later, so I'd best stay up; if I go back to sleep now, it will be all she wrote; I'm harder to wake up than a hibernatin' bear! And when y'all do get me up, Nellie, bar the door! Y'all are askin' for trouble: I'm a regular grouch if my sleep is interrupted! Trust me; I know! LOL
