Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Sunday, April 5, 2009 ("Palm Sunday"), 2:30 p.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Howdy!  Raspberry Quigley here; thought I'd write to let you know I'm still alive!  LOLOLOL

I have been busy:  church (our Easter pageant is coming up fast; we're doing "The Wonderous Cross", and I am in the choir; we've been practicing hard!), school, and trying to get along with my sisters keeps me focused.  I still help out with the special kids at my school three days a week after school; I love it!!

We do our Easter pageant this Friday (once), twice on Saturday, and twice on Easter Sunday, which means plenty of rehearsal time (in costume) and hardly any time for doing anything else.  *sighhh*

I don't mind, but dang, we've practically got the whole thing memorized backwards and forwards; don't know why Pastor Martin wants us to work so hard!  I guess he wants to make sure it goes well for the people who come to see it.

We still have our kitties, "Omarian" and "Sweetie-Puss"; however, we no longer have our Chihuahua, "Baby".  "Baby" was killed by a larger dog last month; I was the one who'd found him, all mauled up and dead; it really upset me.  I miss him so much; he was quite the character!!

Spring is trying to come to these parts; most of the snows of winter have melted, but we've had some flooding, and it's been a scary, uncertain time.  We are praying the levees hold, or else there's going to be no end of trouble!  Floods are nothing to mess with!!  I've been in plenty of 'em to know that!!

We do have some cold days left; in fact, tonight we're under frost/freeze advisories; temps are supposed to dip into the lower 30's, 20's in outlying areas.  Guess we're not quite done with the sweaters, blankets, or heaters just yet!  *Sighhh*

Guess what!!  Next month, "Green Day", one of my all-time favorite groups, is coming to Eau Claire for a concert, and I GOT TICKETS!!!!  I got 'em from school for having good grades!!  And I get to see them!!  I am sooo excited I could just die!!!!!  Oh, this is going to be AWESOME!!!!

Can you tell I'm a bit excited??  Well, I AM!!!!  LOLOLOL

Cherry and Strawberry would rather see Celine Dion; meanwhile Blueberry would rather see Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers; that's more their speed.  Pshaw!  That's for little kids!  I'm more into the serious music!  LOLOLOL
