Dear Journal~
Johnathon here. A very happy, satisfied Johnathon, to be exact. I just wish life could be this good for me all of the time; it would spare me an awful lot of unecessary headaches or grief!
We made it through our Cantata without too many problems, but I hated having to do my scene over and over during practice or during the rehearsal! Those stage lights can get awful warm after a while!
I also got to spend time with my girl, Rebekkah. She is getting to be so sexy; I see her, and I swear my testosterone levels go sky high! WOW, but she is a FOX with a capital F!!
Rebekkah makes me laugh. She loves to tell jokes, and she can tell the goofiest stories! She makes me forget of my own problems, even if for a bit, which I greatly appreciate; I hate dwelling on my stupid MD and all of its "fun" symptoms--NOT!!
While I saw Rebekkah, we hung out in my room, howling like goons. I know several times mama told us to pipe it down because we were disturbing the family. And I heard Ms. Cohen, Rebekkah's mom, tell her the same thing. All we could do was look at each other and keep from bustin' a gut. We weren't really successful because we giggled anyway! LOLOLOL
It's funny that a girl who's gone through so much in life can have such a cheery, optimistic attitude; but she does! I've really never heard her complain all that much; she usually has a smile on her face. If I were to go through what she has had to, I'd have shot myself long ago! (NOT really, but I wouldn't have been as brave as she's been!)
The Cohens got to see our Cantata, and it was great seeing all the Cohens there! We also saw Kendra Kent and her brood of a million kids (her family's getting just about as big as ours is! LOL), and we saw the Wrights (Wayne, Sarah, and their kids: Mwugu, Emma, Brooklyn, and Rheese). We saw lots of people we knew at the Cantata!
The other day I was watching YouTube (only because mama said I could; I can't go there without her permission), and they had a video about this lady in Britain (England) who sang on the show, "Britain's Got Talent" (an offshoot of the popular show here, "America's Got Talent") who looked dowdy, but when she sang, WOW! Instant shock! She blew the judges (and the audience) clear out of the water; she had a phenominal voice!
The lady in question is 47 years old, has been teased all of her life (she has learning disabilities), and people didn't expect much out of her; yet all she wanted to do was be a singer. Well, she had the last laugh on the judges as well as the people in attendance: she has become the Internet's newest sensation; she is bound to become a superstar in a short period of time! She is fantastic!!
The lady is named Susan Boyle, and she's from Scotland.
Ronee' went to the tryouts for the fourth season of AGT, and we're waiting to see if she will go to Las Vegas for the chance to appear on the tv show. She seemed to do better than she did last year; we shall see. Until then, all we can do is pray, wait, and hope.
Ronee' sang "Jole' Blon" and played her accordion. She did a great job.
I just hope the people at the audition thought the same!
Next month, we go to Louisiana, for the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival; both Ronee' and I perform there. Hope we don't tank; that'd be horrible!! I hate it whenever we mess up!
We then go to the CMA Festival in June (performing there, too, both Ronee' and myself), and to the LeCajun thingamajig in August. We also have "Red, White, and BOOM!", the city's Fourth of July Festival, to look forward to. Busy times ahead for the Ronster and myself! Wheee!! LOL (Gotta love it, though--and we do! LOL)
The weather here has been interesting lately, to say the least. We've already had some rounds of severe weather, including tornadoes (not so much around here, but by us, in neighboring communities). The sirens did their wailsong, and the winds blew hard, while the skies turned sickly colors. Very scary, and my weather radio sure got a workout! Geez!! This is when I'm glad we have a safe-room IN our basement, for double protection! I don't need no hairy tornado blowin' me all the way to Afghanistan!!
I hope (and pray) we don't get any more severe storms for a while; I'm gettin' all severe'ed out!!
Well, I am going to go: time to eat; haven't eaten yet. My stomach's rumblin' worse than Mount St. Helen's! Or maybe Mount Redoubt! LOL I will write in here again another time; until then, this is Johnathon saying ciao, baby! God bless!
~Love, your pal, Johnathon. :D
"Johnny and Rebekkah, sittin' in a tree; K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First comes love, then comes marriage; then comes a nice, big baby carriage!" LOL
