Tottie Ruth Brighton has found out that she is pregnant; she updates us on what has been going on with her since she last wrote back in September of last year.

April 2009, Sydney, Australia~

Dear Journal~

Tottie Ruth Brighton here; sorry for not writing in so long.  Things have been busy at best; hope you understand why you haven't heard from me.

I am busy taking care of the house while Bobby (me mate) works.  Mum and pop (his parents) have been dropping by, as have his brothers and sisters, making sure I don't get into any trouble.  LOL

I also have been mourning the loss of me baby.  I was preggers back in December, only a few weeks; however, about two weeks after I found out I was preggers, I hemorrhaged; I nearly died.  Had to be rushed to hospital, where they worked like bloody 'ell to save me life.  I am still not quite over that one.

Seems like any little thing can set me off to crying.  We wanted this baby; however, it wasn't to be.  Guess we'll have to try again, or else, if I can't have any more children, we'll look into adoption.

I really want to have a child; so does Bobbo.

The weather is getting cooler; winter will be upon us in a few months.  We had us a bad summer:  dry one minute, with fires, and the next, stormy with monsoon rains, even tornadoes.  No tornadoes 'round here, but the skies sure have been nasty!  Really terrifyin', that; I don't do storms very well!  Call me a stormphobe!

The rains have been sendin' our spider-y friends into the house; found two nasty funnelwebs in me shoes last week; 'bout had a cow.  Haven't slept good since; I have been bitten by a funnelweb; got really ill; ended up in  hospital for a week, tryin' to get over it.  It was a wonder the durn thing didn't do me in!!

I have had me house fumigated twice; it still doesn't seem to do any good.  I have called and called the pest control company, complainin' about the spider problem we are facing; they haven't been out yet.  It's crazy!!  They only come when they see fit; they don't care or give a rip that anybody gets bitten by a stupid spider or some other stingy-bitey bug!!

Well, I have been followin' the saga surrounding Susan Boyle, that lady who sang on Britain's Got Talent last week.  She's forty seven, quite dowdy in appearance; however, she has a most incredible singing voice!  Then this week they had a twelve year old boy who sang a couple of Michael Jackson songs, and he's been gettin' a lot of media attention, too.

It's going to be interestin' to see who ends up winnin' the whole thing; I personally hope it is Susan Boyle!  She's phenomonal!!

I love those talent shows.  I have been watching clips of America's Got Talent from last season on YouTube, and they had a little four year old girl who sang (Kaitlyn Maher), and she has become a little star in her own right.

In addition, they had a little boy with autism who sang, but you hardly hear anything about him.  Such a pity; he was wonderful!  I hope we hear more about this little David Militello soon; he's an inspiration to those who live with disabilities!

Bobbo ought to try out for next season's addition of Australia's Got Talent:  he sings like Josh Grobin!  No kiddin'; he has such a beautiful singing voice!  I hear him, and I practically melt like butter!

Well, I must tell you this now:  I am pregnant again.  A few weeks.  Maybe this time will go better for us; maybe there will be a little Brighton in the works.  I hope so; I wouldn't mind havin' me a little boy!  If so, I'd probably name him after Bobbo and me dad.  Bobbo would love a girl; we shall see what we shall see once that time comes; until then, we wait--and pray that nothing happens to this baby.

Well, I am going to go now.  Have an appointment with me therapy; maybe they got my new prosthetic leg ready.  Me old one's given up the ghost; been hoppin' 'round on me one good leg or using me sticks.  Until later, this is Tottie signing off; I will try to write in here more often.  Sorry for being so bad at that!

Take care and God bless!  Cheerio!

~Love, your friend in Oz, Tottie Ruth Brighton.  :)

Been Down Under on Victoria Mountain Range and the only thing you found in your shoes where those damn and mad scorpions, otherwise, the spiders were in the bush which I had enough of in Nam.
I can relate to the lost of an unborn child, it will be with you forever.
