Dear Journal~

Bonjour from Cajun Country!  This is Louisiana writing; hope this finds y'all in great health!  We are fine; still recuperating from this past weekend.

We had a great time at the Crawfish Festival:  perfect weather, perfect music, much in the way of dancing/eating, and photo ops galore!  Oh, it was wonderful!  It was every Cajun music fan's dream!

You couldn't have asked for better weather:  sunny all weekend, with temps in the eighty degree range, pretty humid, but then this is Louisiana:  that's to be expected.  LOL  It brought out the crowd in droves; everyone was more than ready to be in a festival mood.

Ronee' did super; however, the real star of the show was Johnny.  He nailed it; on pitch throughout his entire set, played without making one mistake.  He was flawlses.  If they had an "American Idol" competition between Cajun music's newest stars, Johnathon would have probably won, hands down!  LOLOLOL

Ronee' did have some problems with her allergies acting up, so her voice was rather froggy at times, and she kept having to blow her nose from time to time (or put drops in her eyes, which were tearing pretty badly).  Yet she carried on; she did great as well; yet Johnathon was the talk of the festival.

People are still talking about Johnathon three days later!  :)  Yes, sir, I think he's made some new fans! 

We really enjoyed seeing the other Cajun music acts:  Belton Richard and "His Musical Aces", Hunter Hayes and "Louisiana H.O.T.!", "BeauSoleil" avec Michael Doucet, Wayne Tuops and "ZydeCajun", Jimmy Thibodeaux, Terrence Simien, Joe Hall, Paul Daigle and "Cajun Gold", Rosie Ledet, Kristy Guillory and "Bayou Catin", Steve Riley and "The Mamou Playboys", Lesa Cormier and "The Sundown Playboys", Jackie Caillier and "The Cajun Cousins", and many more.

We ate enough crawfish to fill Fenway Park three times over; we are still full!  LOLOLOLOL  And now we are going to eat pizza.  The crawfish has finally digested; we finally have room to eat more food!  LOLOLOLOL  Tonight it's pizza!  Yum!

We will probably leave in the morning.  We're just about all packed; we have some last minute things to pack before we get back on the bus and head back home twoards Tennessee. 

Home never sounded so good!  I just hope our house is still staniding, not to mention, the hospital (or Wal*Mart)!  LOLOLOL

If they are, we can consider it a miracle!  LOLOL

Well, the pizza's arrived, so I'd best go now, or else there's bound to be a good-natured riot.  Not a good thing to keep pizza away from over fifty starving kids!  No, sireee!  LOLOL  I will write in here again, probably when we get back home and settled in.  That will probably be sometime this weekend.  Until then, this is Louisiana signing off!  Take care, and may God bless you always!
