Dear Journal~

Remember when I said last time I'd written that I'd write when we found out about the (pending) adoption of our soon-to-be daughter from Africa?  Well, we got good news:  Promise Hope is due to arrive from Africa in just two more days:  the paperwork has been completed, and she's been cleared to come to America!!

As you can imagine, we are wild with joy:  this has been an answer to prayer!  It has been a long time in coming; soon we will have three girls and two boys in our family!!

This is Sarah Wright, as you can imagine.  Wayne and the children have been busy getting the house in tiptop shape so that when our new daughter does come, she'll come to a clean house.  We are all excited beyond belief!!

Our new daughter is named Promise Hope, and she is absolutely beautiful!  She is six, and she has cerebral palsy.  She can walk, with braces on her legs, and with crutches; for longer trips, she uses a wheelchair.  She has the biggest brown eyes; they remind me of a deer's. 

We don't know if Promise speaks English or not, but we are willing to go all the way to help her.  No doubt she will probably be scared of her new surroundings, so she is going to need a lot of support and encouragement from us.

Well, the phone is ringing again; maybe it's Audrey calling from England.  She has been wondering if we'd heard anything; I will have to share with her the good news!  I will write in here again, probably this weekend, when Promise is safely home with us; until then, this is Sarah signing off!  Oh, God is sooo good; this is going to be sooo exciting!!  We have a brand new daughter!!
