Dear Journal~
Michiko Osaka here. Sorry I haven't written; been busy, plus still recuperating from my eye surgery of last March.
Turns out I did have a tumour; fortunately, noncancerous, but I had to have my eye removed, just the same. No biggie: I'm already blind; what's losing an eye, anyway??
I'm just about recovered, but still have to make sure nothing hits me in the face, especially near my eyes. That could prove to be disasterous.
I just thank God I have Kaz, my boyfriend; he's been nothing but a huge help for me, as have my friends. I am on medical leave for a while from my job, so I don't have anything coming in; still, Kaz's folks try to help out by giving me some extra cash whenever it's needed.
I haven't been doing much other than worrying about my eyes; they'd been paining me, but it turns I worried over nothing. Still a tumour, but nothing serious. I don't know what I would have done had it been cancer; they might as well have put me into the grave right then!
I don't take bad news well; never have, never will.
Now things are looking up, and I'm just waiting for the doctor's okay for me to return to work. It will be good to be bringing in money again; not having money to pay the bills is horrendous!!
I have a new seeing eye dog: Brutus, my last dog, died around Christmas; he got an intestinal virus, and it killed him. I was broken-hearted; he was my life! I now have a new German shephard; his name is Osaka, and he's got the same laid-back personality as Brutus did. I hear he's pretty: he's a sable, a very big dog!
I've had him now for a few months; we've since gotten to know each other's habits, and he follows directions very well. I am most pleased with him!
I still have to make sure to tell people not to pet him when he's in harness; people see him, and I don't want him to get distracted! It's very annoying to have to make him mind when kids pet him or people ooh and aah over him!
Well, I have to go. I have to get my supper; I smell it cooking. I will write in here again; sorry I am such a horrid journal keeper! Take care, and may God bless you!
~Love, Michiko. :)
