Howdy!  Burgundy Rose here!  I last wrote back in January; it's now four and a half months later, in May.  Sorry about that! 

I am happy to report that I now have a family I can finally call my own.  Yes, I've been adopted by the family I'd been living with!  My last name is now Reese instead of Jones.  I have a mom, a dad, two little brothers (Corey and Dominick, ages 8 and five), and an older sister (Charlene, aged 16 1/2).  I also have two fluffy cats, a Maine Coon named "Charlie" and a Birman named "Silkie".  Life is great!! :)

I had wanted a family for Christmas, but I got my wish late.  Oh, well, better than never, ya know??  :)

I have been trying awful' hard to be good for my family, so they don't send me back.  They say that's not going to happen, but sometimes I can't help thinkin' that.  I've always been somethin' of a real worrywart.  They just tell me to do well in school and try my best; that's all they care about.  They tell me they love me, and I'm beginning to see that.

It really makes me feel good to know I finally have a family of my own.  It makes me feel wanted, needed, something I did not feel when I was in foster care.  I hated being in foster care; it was the worst!  When I finally ended up with the Reeses, I'd been praying to God to let me stay with them, and He answered my prayers!  :)

I'm just about done with seventh grade.  In the fall, I start eighth grade.  I am glad school is about over, and the Memorial Day holiday is coming up fast; I can't wait!  Then after that, summer vacation starts; our last day of school is June the 4th, 2009.  Then we can have vacation until September, September 10, 2009, which means three months of freedom!!  Yayyyy!!!!

I'm at school now as I write this:  I'm about to start my first class, which is algebra.  I'm not crazy about it, but I'm doing well in it. In fact, I'm doing well in all of my classes, and my parents are very proud of me.

I'm proud of me, too!  :)

Well, the bell's rung, so I have to put this up, get started on my school day.  I will write in here again another time; until then, this is Burgundy Rose Reese signing off.  I'll try not to wait so long before journal entries, but hey:  I'm a busy teen;  I'm too busy livin' (and enjoyin') life!  :)
