My name is Raun Elijiah Thiele; I live in Ponca City, Oklahoma, with my mama, papa, and my four older sisters, as well as my granny.
I am eight years old. I am in the third grade. I don't really like school; y'see, the kids there make fun of me. I can't get through an entire day of school without somebody saying mean things to me.
It's because I have a colostomy. I had a tumor in my tummy when I was little, and the tumor pinched part of my intestine and made it go bad. The doctors had to take it out and attach a bag to me; sometimes I can smell pretty bad. I know it's not my fault, but I still hate it when people say I stink. It really makes me feel bad.
As I said, my name is Raun, but most kids at my school call me Rotten Egg. I don't have very many friends; it's because of my special problem. It's very hard being alone a lot of the time; I have to find ways to entertain myself, so I don't become bored.
My doctor said when I am older, I might get my colostomy "reversed", but for now, I need it. I hope so; I don't like smelling like a pig factory! And I don't like getting teased; that is the worst!!
It may man another stay in the hospital, but if they can fix my problem, to where I can go like anyone else, then bring it on, is all I can say! :)
When I am not thinking about getting teased (or about my problem), I like to read (especially boy books; girl books make me gag!!), play frisbee with my family, go on walks, play video games or go on the computer, and eat pizza at Chuck-E-Cheese's. I also like going to Jack-in-the-Box.
I could play something like baseball, but mama, she is afraid I'll fall and land on my belly; if that happens, I could have serious problems, so I don't play a lot of sports. It makes me mad because I already feel like I'm crippled, even though I can walk and run!
Well, I have to go: I have to help mama with granny; my granny has Alzheimer's, and she can't walk or talk; she needs a lot of help. I will write in here again another time; I promise!
Bye for now! Pray the kids stop teasing me and stop calling me bad names! I'd really love to have more friends!
