Arturo Jiminez writes another entry in his journal prior to going outside to play some "b-ball" with some of his friends.

Hola!  Como esta usted?  Mi, es muy bueno, muchas gracias!

This is your amigo, Arturo Jiminez; hope this finds you all well and happy!  I am happy because Monday is the last day of school; I can hardly wait!  To me, school has been nothin' but a huge waste of my time!

I'm also happy 'cause I will be away from those stupid gringo kids who think it's cool to pick on us Mexican kids.

I love being Mexican; it's the other things (the teasing, the racism, the assumptions, or the stereotyping) that makes me mad, crazy en la cabeza!  I don't see anythin' wrong with being Mexican; it's who I am, and it's a huge part of my heritage!!

I am happy to say that I passed all my final exams.  I hope to be in grade 11 come September; until then, I plan on chillin', maxin', and relaxin' with my amigos, and of course, taking care of mi familia, as best as I can.

The weather here has been okay:  bad some days, good on others.  Today is a good day:  bright, blazing sunshine in a cloudless, azure sky, temps in the lower to mid nineties.  It may be the end of May on the calendar, but it feels more like August!

Ah, such as summertime here in the Southland!  :)  (Live in San Antone, here in Texas; this is when I wish I could go back north, to Indiana, where I was born!)

After I am done writing in here, I am going to play some b-ball (basketball) at the park near our place with some amigos of mine; or maybe, if we get too hot, we may shed our clothes, go skinnydippin' at the park (that is, if the cops don't chase us out of there, like they did last time).

Hey, we were hot; we had to cool off somehow!  :)

Or maybe we'll just fool around under the fire hydrants.  Yeah, that sounds like a cool plan of action!  Anythin' to try to stay cool, keep from getting cooked by the scorching sun!

Well, I am gonna go:  I hear Tiny callin' my name; they're here.  I am sure Fat Face, Big Ears, Rico-Mucho-Loco, and Ernesto are with them.  Time to get my gear, then head out!  Adios; hasta luego, mi amigos!

~Tu amigo en San Antonio, Tejas, Arturo.  :)
