Louisiana Sandusky fills us in on what has been happening in her life and those of her family.

Saturday, May 30, 2009, Nashville, TN., 7:43 a.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Louisiana here; hope this finds you in fine shape.  As for us, we are (mostly) doing well; nothing much to write about.  :)

Johnny is in the hospital; however, I am happy to report that the PICC line insertion went without a hitch.  (He had that done yesterday morning.)  Once he recovers somewhat from that and is out of the hospital, I can take care of that for him.

Yesterday he spent a good deal of the day sleeping; poor kid is tired of fighting.  Hopefully this will put some needed food into his system and he can start gaining the needed weight; he looks like a broken little bird!

I will see him at the hospital in a few hours; hopefully he had a good night.  Nothing has happened; if something did, the hospital would have called by now; the phone has remained silent, thank goodness!

I worked all day Thursday, and again Thursday night (another double), was off yesterday because of Johnny's surgery, and am off today.  I will work tomorrow (which means I will miss church), then work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, then off one week from today and again next Sunday.  Whew; I have a crazy work schedule!!  Man, no wonder I'm so tired all of the time!  Whee!!  LOLOLOLOL

The kids have one more week of school; then they'll be released for three months.  Summer vacation officially starts next week.  So does the CMA Festival; that's coming up really quickly.  Then in a few weeks will be our church revival with the McGruders and McKameys, as well as our city's annual Fourth of July celebration.  Busy times ahead for the Sandusky crew (as if things aren't already busy enough!!)!

Steffi is recovering nicely from her fall; she has been having therapy now for a week, and while it is still difficult for her to get around easily, she is at least now walking again.  She just has to take it easy, be careful.  Tank has been making sure she does just that.

Anh and Thu have decided on a wedding date:  they're planning on getting married on June 24, 2010, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they live.  Of course, the gang is all invited.  It is going to be a wonderful time of love, laughter, joy, and tears on all our parts!

They sent us piccys of the wedding gown and tux, and they are truly magnificent!  They look so classy!

At the sight of that piccy, all I could do was sit back and cry:  "My baby is gettin' married!!"

Danita and Michelle are both in trouble:  they both accidentally broke one of my prized Cajun dolls from my childhood.  They did this a few days ago, and both girls are now grounded until I say otherwise!  They were looking at her when Danita dropped her, and the head fell off, shattered in a million pieces.  When I heard the sound, I felt my own heart break right along with the doll.

I've told them and told them, time and time again, that they are not to touch my porcelain dolls; yet did they listen??  N-O!!  So now I am minus one doll, and two young ladies are in a serious heap o' trouble!

Melizza said Diana burned her arm while cooking.  She is going to be okay, but will be hurting for a while.  Poor Diana tries so hard to cook, but fails miserably.  It's a wonder Melizza (or Diana) haven't gotten food poisoning by now!  LOLOLOL

In that household, Diana is the designated cook while her sister is the designated "taster".  LOLOLOL

Kwame' is another one who is in trouble.  He tried to stuff his brother Sergei into the dryer as a joke; Sergei bellowed worse than a stuck pig.  Sergei happens to be severely claustrophobic.  I thought he was going to kill Kwame' after he got out of there; there was much hollering and punching going on.  I then had the task of separating them; I got punched in the process; I now have bruises in my kidney region, not to mention, my arms, face, and neck!

I am so sore it's not funny!!  Those two ought to know better than to fight like uncivilized heathens!!

I tell you, life is never dull around Casa Sandusky!!  *sighhhh*

Well, the phone has rung; Bill says it's not the hospital, but Kendra.  She sounds upset.  Oh, dear God, I pray it isn't about Rebekkah (or the Cohens) again!!  I hate these calls!!  Just as long as Johnathon doesn't follow suit, I'll be fine!  Just do one thing for us (and the Cohens):  pray!!

Thanking you in advance~

As always, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May.  :)  :(  (feelin' both right now!)
